Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann
Jefuemon replied to Vi-RS's topic in Model kits
Not positive, but I think they come with generic TV pilot figures. In other words, no bumps on Miria's chest. -

According to this Tweet, at the studioRECKLESS booth they'll be selling 20 Armored VF-1J conversion kits. You'll need the Hasegawa 1/72 Battroid kit to go with this. Price ¥17,000

Here's Max, and here's Miria. They were limited edition releases, that's why the higher prices. -
He finished it. And someone already built one.

Was this the Tanmen Fiasco? For the ES-11D and Dragon? That happened before I came here, but I'm the one who bought Exo's Cat's Eye.

After-market decals, but yes, it'll be a Jolly Rogers.

Pulled my 1/32 scale F-4J back out of the box. Had gotten it to the priming stage last year, then had to box it up since it got too cold to paint with the window open, and it's too big for my exhaust hood.

[24 hour topic] Of course no one at HG...

Did I get sniped, or is this just a coincidence? Not that it matters. I would have posted this in the Roboblech Academy thread, but the bones of that tomb definitely need to stay unmolested.- 58 replies

Little OT here, but I actually started up Twitter 'cause I found it was a lot easier to talk with my favorite band that way. They're actually some of my first followers, too!

Thank you!

About the same, difficulty wise, but the detail is a lot better. They include the wing parts to block out the interior when fully extended, all the verniers are actually recessed, not decaled, and they fixed the 1/72's Droopy Leg Syndrome. So far, my only regret about the 1/48 line is the lack of weapon kits.
-
The wings can be swept into any position, I've just always had my other kits displays with full deployment. Also, I have a favor to ask of anyone who has a Facebook account. Can you please post this as a response to this? "Michael Parrott Nice job. But max was not AC #001." found here. Thanks! Yes, I'm probably one of the 10 people still in the world with no plan to be on FB.

It's in a weird place, because there's just so much wrong with this article.

Throw another one on the shelves! Just finished up my 1/48 scale DYRL version of the VF-1S (from Hasegawa), done up as Max's ride. Very straightforward build, nothing surprising. I realized that with all the Valkyries/variable fighters I've built, I've never had one displayed in full-speed mode. Decided to remedy that defect with this kit. As usual, more can be seen here.

Sold out in 2 minutes, by the way.

The mainly all brown VF-1A is the mass produced, cannon fodder version. Mostly white with brown on the legs is Kakizaki's TV version.

The full-size VF-25 Messiah is still around and well. It's on display at Tokyo Sky Tree, East Soramachi, 8th floor. Opens at 10:30 everyday, admission is free.

They look good. I built one before I moved here, did it as a Plus version. Oh, and you knew the UN SPACY logo on the right leg of the Super Battroid was upside down, right?

I used Sabitennen. The red bottle is very fine metal flakes in a suspended solution. The blue is an oxidizer. Basically, you paint on the metal, let it dry for a day, then put the oxidizer on it, and in 2-4 days you've got real rust. For the streaks I used Mr. Color weathering "rust".

I'm not sure how many I would buy, but I'd be interested in more of the #272003 and #272001.
