  1. I use some of the easiest stuff around, Flory's Promodelers Wash. I use the black. What's nice is that it'll go over a properly set decal no trouble. I don't know if an oil or enamel wash will do that.
  2. Don't worry too much about losing the detail on the Hasegawa kit.
  3. Amazon Japan has a release date of the 21st.
  4. Yes, from Fukuoka Mandarake, and original.
  5. I would just like to say "Thank you!" to Hasegawa. With every new Macross release they come out with, the prices on the classic resin kits of the same scale plummet to stupidly low levels. Picked this up for ¥27000, and I've gotten pretty much all of the 1/72 VF-1 line for about ¥3000 per kit.
  6. Looks nice, but I honestly think the Yellow Submarine one looks better. Well, one good thing is that if the other old resin releases follow the same pattern, you should be able to pick up a Yellow Sub one for very cheap in the near future.
  7. Model Section- Put pics of your completed Macross kits, pics of interesting Macross kits you might find while surfing around, announcements of new Macross kits, or questions of Macross kits. Workshop- Works in progress. If you're actually building, and looking for steady advice, post there.
  8. Well, I guess sometimes you can polish a turd. Nice work. I've got this kit sitting in my To Do pile, and it's probably going to stay there until I feel masochistic enough to take it on (also got the Strike parts add-on).
  9. How about some metal from Angola? Found it because of this
  10. This was my early '80's http://youtu.be/2aKyIgm4bFg
  11. I'm purposely holding off on building mine until this is ready. Still have plenty to build until then, though!
  12. Just arrived this morning.
  13. I got notice from Amazon that I should get my weapons set either tomorrow or Tuesday.
  14. I've got one of the old Bandai VF-1S Battroid kits, and I'm real tempted to try an anime cel paint job on it. And since it's one of the old kits, I won't feel bad if I screw it up.
  15. Well, it is actually colored the same. This was put out for the assembly kit. Went down real nice, but if you think Mr. Color smells bad.... Still have a ton of the grey left, so I know what color to paint my launch arms of all the Digital Mission VF-X kits I'm going to be building soon. I may have to track one down now.
  16. Well, this didn't take nearly as long to finish as I thought it would. Here's the 1/4000 scale SDF-1 Macross, DYRL version resin kit from Yellow Submarine. No decal work, everything painted. That's why I though it would take me a long time, especially with the ARMD's.
