! Anyway, the prototype doesn't seem to be bulkier than the valk in this image that I've always loved so much, so I'm quite happy with it so far.

Perhaps our MW fellows who had the prototype in front of them can tell us how chunky it looked in person. IMO it's not possible to draw conclusions about that matter only by looking at an angled picture of a magazine picture whose page is not properly flat. I'd rather look back at the much better older photos like this one:

That's not completely unheard. Flightpose stands come to mind. Looks like certain kinds of rubber always end up melting and eating paint

You meant compared to the old Bandai one? If not, it doesn't look than darker than my Yamato version. But, again, that's only IMO.
