  1. That's a very convincing job, very well done! Congratulations!
  2. And, to be fair, it looks like the VF-19 was always meant to shine…
  3. Well, I always preferred Yamato's matt finish, but if the Boss says that…

    SCOOP thread!

Does it qualify as a toy? http://www.yamato-to.../?infolnk=index http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=35086
  5. Wait, I may be wrong; now you say they are of different sizes it’s possible that the adaptor for battroid mode is the one I customized a long time ago by adding to it the connection part of one of those that came in a bag with the Yamato arm. I can’t have a look right now for I’m on holidays till Monday, sorry! As I usually display my YF-19 in fighter mode I can’t remember well…
  6. IIRC the YF-21/VF-22 come with two adaptors: one for fighter and gerwalk mode that you can use right out of the box with the mighty block stand and the Yamato arm; and one for battroid mode that you can use with the SV-51 stand. But if you detach the lower bit of the first one by using a small screwdriver and attach it to the second one you'll be able pose your valks in battroid mode with the Yamato arm and mighty block as well.
  7. Sugoi! Sugoi! Thank you, UN Spacy! @ Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0: Oh, yes!
  8. Mine is already somewhere above the Pacific Ocean. Looking forward to getting it.
  9. Mine's just been shipped by Anime Export. Should be around in a week.
  10. Actually, they did say it transforms –in Japanese though- and the two pics were to show the retractable grip and the two different positions for fighter and battroid modes. They call it "Yamato Orijinarugimikku" aka Yamato Original Gimmik. They also mention the detachable magazine.
  11. It can be read at Yamato's site (http://www.yamato-to.../?infolnk=index) that as they can realize that some people may not be happy with a street clothed Basara, the possibility of a stage outfit Basara version to be included in a future release is under consideration. So where else a Basara figure could be included? As you well guessed, only with the Soundbooster set. Now look at the picture and tell me whether you can see the same I do beneath the Soundbooster…
  12. IMO this is the right difference and will look more proportionate than before –I mean YF-19/VF-11. About the eyes… I don't really care too much, they seem to be painted IMO but very nicely done for what I can see in the latest close up pictures. Could they have been better made? Most probably. But there must be a reason for them to be like this, I remember the designer mentioning some difficulties regarding the faceplate design, so I don't think it's something they haven't think about. Anyway, it's a hero's valk that seems to be the best Macross toy ever and looks great IMO, so I have to have it. I preordered it about a month ago at Anime Export for US$220, looking forward to the shipping invoice!
  13. Looking forward to Graham's review. Meanwhile, let's share some pics by B_A_T_. I have to say these are some of the best pics I've ever seen in a toy's gallery. And Yamato, I don't know what to say, maybe just WOW!
  14. I'd never seen anything like this before!!! Thanks to Vi-RS: http://www.macrosswo...ndpost&p=910116
  15. There're some very fine pictures at GUNJAP site: http://www.gunjap.net/site/?p=10663 I've also found this picture somewhere in Google Japan, but I don't have the link, sorry.
  16. Some nice pics from GUNJAP + an extra. Source: http://www.gunjap.net/site/?p=10663
  17. Just a few extra pics from GUNJAP. Link: http://www.gunjap.net/site/?p=10647
  18. Yes, that's the reason; it's a new hip technology that doesn't leave much room for intakes as you can see in the black sample picture. The designer expressly apologizes for that in the newest article at Yamato's site. It's a real shame but I guess he did consider the valk is in battroid mode most of the show and that's with the covers on.
