  3. It is possible that some reviewers may be starting to consider reducing the score they gave to the YF-29 due to these news about spontaneous and unexplainable reduction of the joints What should we expect from the coming DX VF-25 v.2? I haven’t checked mine but I’m sure –I hope, really- there must be a way to tighten the joints…
  4. While it’s true I don’t care about some of the small paint details for I’m modifying the toy, it hasn’t been difficult for me at all to just to mask the painted areas I want to preserve and sand the rest, which is exactly what Mechapilot77 should do if he wanted to follow your own advice of sanding before matte coating anyway. At worst, there are some areas that can be sanded and some others that can’t. Every modeller has his own techniques and I’m just saying what’s worked TO ME. And to me, it has certainly not been a “real iffy type of procedure”
  5. Nor you see modern fighter aircraft transforming. Some compromises are necessary for a transformable toy. Some people prefer perfection, some others the fun of playing. Just let the guy be.
  6. This
  7. Why not just gently wet sand all the visible glossy surfaces with a very fine sand paper? That wouldn’t leave any mark on the plastic and you would avoid all the peeling when transforming your toy. You don’t need to sand the painted diecast areas for they are not too glossy. Anyway, that’s what I’m doing with a second-hand VF-25 of mine that I bought for modifying into an YF-24 and it works.
  8. Your statement gets truer every day.
  9. Well, I didn't say he didn't supervised the V.1; I did say we can consider this v.2 as a REVISED official line art. No need to talk about the flaws of the v.1. Why did Mr. Kawamori approved it at the same time than the much better sculpted 1/72 kit? Nobody here knows. It was a really unfortunate fact but I don’t care anymore. Just looking forward to the new one.
  10. Considering this new version’s design has been supervised by Mr. Kawamori himself I guess we should think about it as a revised official line art for the VF-25, which is now more than ever the slimmest Macross fighter.
  11. I can’t see that happening. Just look at the YF-29
  12. The legs sit higher than the line art, probably too much, just for the sake of being a much slimmer fighter than the previous chunky version, and it’s not because of being on the gears for the legs lock quite firmly, just like the VF-27’s.
  13. Nothing really new around, just this add: Source: http://blog.yahoo.com/cybergundam/articles/47170/index
  14. That's not a bad idea at all...
  15. That’s the magic of much better engineering… The result is a battroid mode much closer to the line art.
  16. Yeah, infinitely better...
  17. Gosh! You do enjoy writing!
  18. IIRC, Graham said it'll have the usual Yamato finish.

  20. Pretty much.

I'd buy at list one 1/60 if you made it available...
  22. I like this you posted: "That was probably the shittiest review, and you don't even know how to pose it correctly. Also, are you too lazy to clean the release agent? To add, why do you sound so whiny in your review?" jasonc212
  23. A couple of new pictures from Yamato’s blog: http://www.yamato-toys.com/blog/index.php?infolnk=index. On the second one, notice the VF-17S CAD background…
  24. I like it, great job so far!
