  1. Some really nice stuff here: http://frameout.blog67.fc2.com/blog-entry-376.html http://frameout.blog67.fc2.com/blog-entry-361.html
  2. Some really nice stuff here as well: http://frameout.blog67.fc2.com/blog-entry-376.html
  3. I kind of like it.
  4. Just got the hinges from Graham today. Many thanks to him for his time and troubles.
  5. Someone who agrees with my “Sad Plastic” theory, although this time using a more physical explanation: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=35663&view=findpost&p=930732
  6. O.M.G.!
  7. According to the ad the Fire valk is 33cm long and the VF-17 28cm. Even though shorter, due to its proportions the VF-17 seems to be a still fairly big toy.
  8. I agree. And even more, if it’s true that there are so many much better toy companies around why aren’t they making better Macross toys? I think we have to be grateful to Yamato for giving us –the niche market we represent- what we want so much. Could their products be better? Probably yes, but they’re still the best we’ve ever had. It’s not the same with Bandai, for they’ve got the rights for an ongoing franchise and they’re a big old toy company, but I’m grateful nevertheless.
  9. According to Cybergundam, the MSRP for the VF-17S is 22,000Yen, in line with the recent and current releases. Source: http://blog.yahoo.com/cybergundam/articles/51229/index
  10. So what's the release date for the Speaker Pod Gamma?
  11. I was able to curl my v.1’s wings down carefully applying heat and pressure up to an acceptable point where the wings were straight but still pointing up due to the defective locking position of the wing gloves. Now I’m discarding those wings for my v.1 is a toy I bought for modification into an YF-24 anyway
  12. It was actually B_A_T_ who took the pictures, I’m just the messenger! They’re pretty cool, aren’t they?
  13. I don't own one of those stands myself but I wonder whether they are even strong enough to hold so much weight…
  14. Same here, but those wings are actually curled up
  15. And here you are a fair comparison. IMO both companies have done a good job –although I’ve got my favourite ©All rights reserved by B_A_T_

  17. If the intakes are anything like those of the DX YF-29 I have to say IMO they look like crap.
  18. Bigger versions of the images UN Spacy posted before: These last images belong to the actual toy, they really look better than the v.1. Looking forward to having one of these birds in my hands Source: http://blog.yahoo.com/cybergundam/articles/50022/index
  19. That’s happened to me as well. Unfortunately, it’s pretty much up to each one’s scale of business to have a dedicated QC guy, which is certainly not my case. I’ve heard Yamato’s progressed a lot on that matter since the time of their YF-19 first release.
  20. I have to say prototypes never feel solid, nor even the VF-19's did...
  21. I guess they just bought the licence back in the eighties and it has already paid off.
