  1. Actual toy, preproduction run, it doesn’t matter; I meant it’s not the painted prototype anymore. We’ve already seen what kind of plastics Bandai uses and how firm the paint applications are. You are right about not freaking out too much, owning an YF-19 myself I’ve learnt to deal with this matter already, but it doesn’t mean I find it right.
  2. Shorter wings don’t make the VF-19S/F battroid mode look cleaner at all, on the contrary. Also, if you don’t like the idea of the wings dangling off the sides of a robot and think they look bad then you don’t like the YF-19, VF-19, YF-21, VF-22, VF-14, VA-1SS, Az-130, FBz-99, Fz-109, SV-51, VF-25, VF-27, YF-29, VF-1 and VF-0 with their load of missiles on, etc. Basically, valks from all the Macross series. If you like mechas with no dangling wings in anime probably Macross isn’t the right franchise for you to follow.
  3. That’s completely different for Yamato used a painted prototype for those early pictures, obviously proner to chipping than the plastic toy; while Bandai used the actual toy for their photos.
  4. What do you mean? Didn’t noticed, I guess most of us around want to believe.
  5. Looking great!
  6. No, according to the source it's a Ranka figure. It is included in the 25S release, also the gunpod, the assault knife, four sets of replacement hands and a stand.
  7. The feet are three clicks down in that pose. I pull them down the whole five clicks, pose the valk, angle the feet flat and then apply some pressure on the legs making them go down a couple of clicks –or as much as possible until the feet touch the yellow ankle bands. Try as much as possible to not to angle the feet forward or backwards; bend the legs instead.
  8. It is about mind control, transcending the PC in a rather selfish way for it wouldn’t be “mind control for everybody” but “mind control over everybody”. I don’t think it’s about gaining ultimate knowledge, but if you are interested in that subject you’ll find some stuff here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=33075
  9. Oh, no, no this again! The toy’s not even been released and I can already see some paint peeling!
  10. I think that’s the right answer to the thread’s theme. And Azrael’s as well.
  11. Nice. That Alto sculpt was still a bit bland.
  12. You can see them in the YF-29.
  13. I don't know about the pre orders, the estimated release date is January 2012.
  14. This is not the first time, actually.
  15. Oh my goodness!!! Beautiful!
  16. OMG!!! Ver. Source: http://blog.yahoo.com/cybergundam/articles/53368/index
  17. I think you're right. This is my Kai and as you can see I barely bend the ankles backwards in gerwalk mode.
  18. I never thought that would be an issue at all for I think that, proportionately and aesthetically speaking, the 1/60 looks better in that area. Looking at the pictures the 1/48’s head looks sunk in the chest plate even with its longer neck.
  19. I completely agree. Just to add my two pence, it’s been said that in this kind of toys the materials cost is proportionately low, making a 1/100 line less profitable if it’s not massively sold.
  20. I don’t know if it was announced before: Release date: October 21st. Source: http://blog.yahoo.com/cybergundam/articles/53358/index
  21. Voilà! And by doing so the ankles should never get loose...
  22. I can pull the ankles out without effort by following the Instructions Manual’s 2 steps for doing so. Also see what these Yamato guys do in these old videos: anything but force.
  23. OMG! I think something really wrong is going on with me! No matter how hard I try, I can’t see the difference! Time to visit an ophthalmologist…
  24. This. And they are actually the same the v.1s have, so no improvements there –unless there’s some sort of magnetic system, which I doubt.
