    I can't believe you started a thread just for asking that What you have to decide is which scheme you like better, the TV one or the film one. Regarding the toy’s design there’s not any possible doubt about it: the Yamato one is a thousand times better.

    Oh, I see. Yes, they said they will, so I expect the same for the 2nd run of the Kai. Luckily enough, I haven't had any problem with mine so far.

    Nah, it’s only a colour aberration due to the colour configuration of the scanner. Here you are the pictures again with a little bit of PS edition: Amazing toy, beautiful proportions, great poseability! The head looks great in fighter mode. I guess it looks like the gunpod drops a bit because the plane isn’t completely horizontal when posed on its landing gears. I love it, but the VF-17 comes first.

    It really looks beautiful! Thanks for the scan, Graham Apart from the test shot of the ABS back part, I’d say these pics are still of the painted resin prototype –I can see the same paint scratches- so I wouldn’t worry too much about the colour scheme yet…

    All the pics we've seen so far come from Yamato and they are of the painted resin prototype. See: http://www.yamato-toys.com/dev/cont_102/index.html?infolnk=index_pickup. The only plastic version there is in red and black. I don't know about the scans we haven't seen yet though.

    You’re right; the v.1 is so ugly when compared with the new one that I’d missed that. One of the various kinds of plastics the toy’s made of has nastily yellowed!

    Transform the robot into the other modes and look at what happens there! It frees some extra room for the head with longer neck. Cool, isn't it?

    I think you’re talking about a hinge that allows the crotch area to get automatically thinner during transformation into fighter/gerwalk mode. It’s already present in the DX YF-29.

    And even if that was true I don’t think they know the actual number. They don’t sell to US collectors; they sell to AmiAmi, HLJ, Angolz Stores, Hobby Search, iShop2go, etc.
