It could be that they only have ONE painted prototype and decided to show the battroid mode for its pose-ability and because it's the one that looks best of the three modes.

Better version of the same pic: As my V/YF-19's stand without issues in both gerwalk and battroid mode, I haven't much to say against this ball joints except that they don't look great.

We don´t know yet whether the Bandai version follows these proportions / lineart. And regarding the gunpod issue, yes, that would be an easy fix, shouldn't it?

I've got the feeling that the best version of this valk will be somewhere between the Arcadia YF and the Bandai VF, but none of them will be the best at everything... They were posted by a fellow member whose name I can't remember some time ago. There was an other one:

According to certain lineart, I don't think they should change the canopy opening:

What's the preorder period for this VF-0D?

Both the old Yamato VF-0S/A and the new Arcadia version have been designed by Hiroyuki Motoki (T-REX) so I don't think we need to be guessing whether they are re-using the old CAD drawings or not.
