  1. But… That’s the whole point and Yamato’s biggest achievement: to make it look as chunky as possible, just like the line art! Why would anybody want it less chunky?
  2. To me it happened in 1986, when Robotech was aired twice in a row in Mendoza, Argentina, the city where I spent part of my childhood. I was 11 years old and loved it. After that I never saw it again, nor anything Macross/Robotech related. It wasn’t until 2001 that I knew the truth about Robotech’s origins and two years later a friend of mine lend me his SDF:M CD collection and that’s when my Macross love story commenced.
  3. Guys, B_A_T_ has completed his set of awesome pictures, don’t miss them:
  4. I don’t know, that’s a good question. I used to prefer Yamato’s traditional matte finish, but –even though I still do- after seeing how beautiful their recent VF-19S looks I think it wouldn’t bother me too much if they decided to make a v.3 YF-19 with a glossy finish.
  5. Err, no, it always seemed light blue to me:
  6. Well, I guess that depends on sales but I do hope they are.
  7. No problems at all with Nippon-Yasan so far.
  8. Even better answer: even cheaper and still in stock: http://www.nippon-yasan.com/figurines-autres/1132-macross-f-super-parts-set-for-dx-chogokin-vf-25f-saotome-alto-custom-renewal-ver.html
  9. Exactly! And the fact that the samples are cast in red doesn’t automatically mean that they are Milia custom.
  10. I think it’s probably because the result wouldn't be anime accurate. Fortunately, they give us the possibility of customisation by including the sticker sheet.
  11. Those pictures of B_A_T_ are awesome! Such a beautiful toy!
  12. Great pictures, Swoosh!
  13. Well, that sucks. These ball joints with metal post + metal half hemisphere + plastic half hemisphere + plastic insert in the socket for friction have been in use since the v.1 VF-25 and not very successfully.
  14. It’s not the first red sample I’ve seen:
  15. AFAIK they haven't even sugested that.
  16. Amen to that. May Yamato hear you!
  17. Thanks for the review, jenius. I noticed you mention being disappointed to see rear booster parts didn’t feature an articulated nozzle but I’m not sure whether you’ve seen or not that the nozzles can be extended showing some nice detail. Swoosh extended them for his pictures.
  18. It’s thinner. Compare for instance the nosecone from the intakes onwards. I think that if it looks chunkier to you it’s maybe due to the bigger wings and extra boosters…
  19. I looks great with the stickers on! Good job as usual, MacrossJunkie!!!
  20. Do you own a VF-27? If not I can tell you that it's already thinner than the v.2 VF-25 so I don't see the point of changing that. Even though there are some other areas that could be improved they're not so many, so I'm not expecting Bandai to release a new version. A super pack release could be possible though…
