I've got a question about netbook batteries. I just got an Acer Aspire one D250 netbook with a 3 cell battery rated at 10.8 volts (it's whats on the battery label). If I go to ebay and get a giant 10 cell battery rated at 11.1 volts, do I risk damaging my netbook, or will it not even notice? I love this little thing!

I've been getting better luck with having stuff go by customs. I've recently gotten a GM v2 and Zaku II v2 go by customs, and both were shipped in their own boxes by HLJ. Let's face it, whenever you import anything from anybody, you roll the dice. And HLJ's shipping is cheaper than the seller you've posted on ebay. That seller is clearly using his high shipping prices to make extra money.

The average MG is not $75 shipped. It's closer to $50 Canadian shipped, if customs doesn't check out your package. Now, if you use EMS to ship your model, then it'll be about $75. But getting it a week earlier is not worth the extra cost.

You can actually do that in IL-2 (original PC version, and IL-2 1946), if you aim for the landing gear. It won't shoot the plane down, but it might convince the Stuka pilot to drop his bombs and head for home. Just as good as a kill as he's not putting his bombs on your troops.

Ariealbots and Protectobots molds lost? I somehow doubt that... I mean, if the knockoff companies can make near perfect knockoffs of Defensor and Superion, I think Takara Tomy can fix their lost mold problems. That or check the warehouse...

Heck, David, if you don't mind waiting, get the PC version. Since I have neither a 360 or a PS3 (hope to remedy that in the future), I'm stuck with getting the PC version. PS: Any reason why the PC version's delayed for a bit?

Finally got around to installing Windows 7 on my home theater PC (woo!). I must say, come October, the main computer is getting 7 and the HTPC is getting Xp.

Heh. Reminds me of when I was at the Battle of Britain ceremony at my aviation museum last year (going to go this year too). We had a pair of F-18s fly by, and they were very loud. Still think that the Lancaster did it better. You felt it before you heard it.

Don't try that with the early P-39s in IL-2. You'll die. For the most part, WW2 fighters (in the game at least) tended to skirt the very very fine line of stable flight vs unstable flight. The planes fly just fine, but put one toe out of line, and you're in for a heck of a ride.

Nice schemes on the F-15. I still think that nobody can outpaint the RCAF when the Government gives them the cash to go nuts on a F-18... If you were going to do it David, how would you execute it?

I know that all too well. I've taken to painting something else (usually a trashed model) at the same time as my work piece, so that I can poke at it to find out when the paint is dry, and not damage the finish on the piece.

Now that's what I call a pure awesome repaint! I've seen the "homage" MP Starscream, and it's a bit too white. This one nails it perfectly.

That was actually a good review. Shame they couldn't make Devastator a real combiner, in that not only do you get the individual 'bot modes, you can put them together to form Devastator. For $100 I'm gonna have to pass. However, I think I'll be seeing these on discount in a while, so I might get it if it's cheap.

Then perhaps we're seeing multiple hornets being built, as we don't know the interval between shots. I'd also like to point out that once the hornet's built, all hornets will be able to swap canopies. As they're being built, there's the possibility that there might be some slight misalignment that may occur (but shouldn't), so better to catch that on the production floor, than someplace else.

Fit checks perhaps (or we're seeing another hornet being built)? I attach and re-attach a canopy on a model just as much. It would be quite a gaff if the hornet is on the flightline, ready for it's first flight, and it turns out the seats were 2 cm too high, and the canopy wouldn't close.

I don't know... Sometimes in the Terror missions I wind up killing just about everything that moves. Baster Bombs are purely outside toys... Good... Bad... I'm the guy with the gun. Aka, it's all in the perspective.

This movie actually reminds me of the original X-Com (or UFO Enemy Unknown), in that it's apparently a secret organization that's battling an alien threat. But then again, that's pretty generic... However, it does look cool, and I'll go and see it when it comes out in a bit.

I've got something slightly different wrong with my VF-1a Hikaru 1:60 V2. One of the rotating mounts on the wings snapped right off when I gently pulled out the missle. Luckly, it's a clean break, and some superglue should fix the problem. It's a brand new valk too. Both shoulders are fine, though.

At least. You may want to toss in some other complimentary sharpies to liven it up a bit. How does it look combined to Optimus anyways?
