  1. The 1/48 line lives within the confines of Macross Chronicle exclusives....now that the hope for the return of the PT valk line from Arcadia seems less of a fool's hope...I am crossing my fingers that we may see more 1/48 exclusives before the magazine hits the 80 mark......(VF-1S TV Fokker, VF-1A Mass Production...VF-1D????....How about a Macross the First repaint?)
  2. Yamato 1/60 VT-1 Super Ostrich V2: http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f122671814
  3. Thought they were simply unassembled toys.
  4. I doubt Hasegawa would want direct competition on a similar product....working on a similar design for different products (models and toys) is more likely and already has precedence....
  5. Well, I guess then we should be thankful these "collaborations" have been limited....as both have yielded mediocre results.... Guess Hasegawa doesn't want to share the "better" designs....or Yamato, now Arcadia, won't pay for them? So, for example, a Black Aces design...who owns it....BW? Hasegawa? What could stop Arcadia from releasing their own version of it if they were to pay for the design's license? Couldn't they technically skip Hasegawa and release them as a "collaboration" or exclusive with say Softbank Creative's VF-1 Master File books?
  6. Thought the copyright on the image posted shows that they have a 2013 license? Question is...is it for just the flamboyant 30th valk....or are more in the works? I really hope this partnership with Hasegawa yields more goodness.....although I agree...crappy design to start with....I had a fool's hope that the cavalier would bring us more "unseen" squadron repaints....crossing fingers!
  7. hmmmm....a line of Hasegawa-Arcadia 1/60 PT VF exclusives would be nice......that would be a heck of a lot of easy repaints for Arcadia.....Hope this one would be next...as a combo set!!:
  8. So does the copyright "2013" mean this will be the first of many more to come from Arcadia during the remainder of year or the first and only release for 2013?
  9. So I guess it's time to retire this thread.....
  10. Anyone buy a Yamato VF-17S to convert to a Miria-type? Or better yet....anyone already complete one or is currently working on one?
  11. Gives the Smokey and the Bandit 25th anniversary edition "street cred".....
  12. Yes...extremely biased....VF's at 1/60 is it for me and if there is any remote chance that Arcadia is even looking at this site...I just want to make sure they know what the people expect out of any continuation of their beloved PT Valk line...
  13. So is the price point for this just about right for a bundled version?....Or does it reflect the fact that there is no other alternative purveyor of PT valks at the moment?
  14. Added a poll regarding scale switching for the PT Valk line from Arcadia (if it does indeed resume)....Let's see how we really stand on the issue....
  15. Issue 18: http://deagostini.jp/mcr/backnumber.php?id=38469&issue=18 Wow! Hey Arcadia....need a Macross Plus version!
  16. .....and that's where the 3D artistes thankfully come in..... perfect candidates for "made to order" wares....I do hope that happens!
  17. Well.....thing is....how many V1 VF's were out by the time Yamato decided to reboot?...not as many as were actually released in V2 form.....so it was a bit easier to swallow I think....thus it can be argued that the "investment" into the V1 VF line wasn't that big of a deal..... Now as for the Bandai V1 -25's.....yeah.....many just were plain cornholed on that debacle.....and with the "difficulties" in attaining the "renewals"...it just added salt to the wound.....but still....4 valks isn't all that bad to replace.... So it makes sense to redo the YF-19.....many want that....but to redo the V2 VF-1 when no one is really asking for it....would be a bad move for Arcadia....they need to finish off the 1/60 VF line and then see if it is worth it to re-invent that wheel again....
  18. Oct 5th eh? Coincides with my other vices.....Nightmare Before Christmas "takeover" at the Disneyland Haunted Mansion......Hmmmmmmm......
  19. 1/60 or let it RIP.....no more yanky my wanky Arcadia!!!
  20. I think most collectors of Yamato valks are too invested in the 1/60 scale to start messing with any other scale at this point.... I do hope that if Arcadia does start back up with valk releases....that they slow it down and utilize the "made to order" approach on valks that clearly would not have a mass appeal (for example, the rest of Fire Bomber) ....we'll see I guess... Still have hopes for a TV 1/3000 SDF-1, FB2012 VF-4, VF-14, and Varuta valks....
  21. Maybe the "Arcadia" 30th version is just a build it yourself decal set for the VF kit.....no need for a PT VF license for that..... ...but who would ruin a VF with decals like those?
  22. well....DYRL's 30th Anniversary is in 2014..... if they could slap 30th stickers onto the boxes of DYRL valks...nothing should stop them from doing the same with TV valks during DYRL's 30th in 2014....
  23. yes....kind of...bandai is more like an expensive toy....Yamato PT valks were more like adult collectibles.....warts and all....
  24. So is this 30th VF-1 going to be released by Arcadia or is it being built for someone else as their "exclusive"? Wonder if someone, say DeAgostini, paid for a particular license, would they just contract Arcadia to build it for them?..... Keep. Hope. Alive!
