To book collectors, need help tracking down Macross 7 stuff
jvmacross replied to Mr March's topic in Movies and TV Series
....the mystery continues Do you own the B-Club magazines....Macross 7 era?....think there are some dealing with the VF History, etc....I would have to dig mine out.....perhaps you have quicker access to them? -
Has a kind of Macross the First look about it....or is that the other way around?

OK....so now I really want to know what book those images come from.... I wonder if they come from one of the game strategy books...like the psp games that feature all the valks... -
If the cavaliers sells well...maybe they will do the rest of the "unseen" squadrons from the Prometheus...based on the pics from the VF-1 GA Graphics book???

The Legend of the Zentradi Stamp Kit -- Part One
jvmacross replied to SCOOPUDA!'s topic in Collectors
I have the red one! ....and yes...I too choose to remain Zentran illiterate! -
If you want to collect "everything"....no........if you narrow down your focus and have the discipline to keep it that way....maybe.... In the original Takatoku 1/144 diecast line...only the VF-1J and VF-1S were made..... 1/72 Hi-Complete Models from Bandai were the ultimate valk toys at one point in time.....however, due to the superior valk interpretations these days, their desirability has eroded for all but the most ardent macross completists...much easier to find today and definitely more affordable.....

To book collectors, need help tracking down Macross 7 stuff
jvmacross replied to Mr March's topic in Movies and TV Series
Found these: In this M7 furoku: I really need to organize my print media collection by series!!! -
I would say they are the hardest to find of the original Takatoku 1/144 scale diecast figurines.....you can get a 1/240 original Takatoku Monster sooner.....the Phalanx would be the next one in difficulty.....The Tomahawk, Defender and Spartan are easy to attain....... Although they all say 1/144 scale.....it is not very accurate....they all stand at about the same height relative to each other......

Agreed...my spare time for detailed kit building expired long ago...but this I would buy if in 1/60 or 1/48 scale (VF-X hanger diorama!!!).....how long has it been since Yamato did anything in 1/72?..... great kit...but for me it would need to be in 1/60 or 1/48 to match the rest of my Yamato valks.....

-
Has anyone ordered the 1/60 VF-1A Hikaru that is currently on sale at HLJ? If so, is it the version with problem shoulders or is it a corrected shoulder version??? Thanks!

Macross Dynamite 7, 15th Anniversary Campaign Announced
jvmacross replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
Great...maybe they will reprint the dynamite 7 animation materials book...or something better..... -
Totally agree...however, I am sure they will just slap a 30th logo and photoshop image of the valk like with the current VF-1D re-issue:

That is an excellent idea.....then kiriK could sell the different heads and armor patterns separately......the VF-1A, VF-1S, and VF-1D all TV version heads!!! Maybe the heads and armor could come on/off via velcro?

Which one?...M7 sketchbook A, Macross Dynamite 7 book or both? Of all the Macross books published....I have come to realize that these two are the most difficult to locate. I have never found the sketchbook A for sale on any site....Otaku.com had it last in 2000.....and the Dynamite book I have only seen for sale once on Yahoo Japan.....it was selling for about 300USD....I forget if it actually sold....but one day it just vanished....at the time it did not occur to me to contact the seller....duh Oh well....patience is a virtue.....

yeah...I'm with Jasonc....not a big fan of the SD toys or kits.....I do however like these little SD eraser guys.....has anyone ever tried to paint these?
-
BTW...here is the website where I found the pic: http://akibahobby-c1.sakura.ne.jp/image/20090831/y056.html Other weathered macross items are displayed....so maybe it was planned for release but ultimately scrapped? I'd pick one up.....

too bad...a weathered GBP would actually be a nice addition to their weathered lineup............
