Maybe. Solution: Release the FB2012 VF-4 with a big warning sticker that says "Do Not Transform this Toy without the explicit consent of Big West!!!"

Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann
jvmacross replied to Vi-RS's topic in Model kits
Maybe this will lead to a new 1/55 scale (or larger) DX toy..... -
What about the VF-X.....not fully transformable, but was sold as such by Yamato.....are we supposed to pretend that it doesn't? I think the reason why we did not get a FB2012 VF-4 is because Yamato knew that it would still sell well after releasing the VFX version.....but probably could not sell nearly enough VFX versions if the FB2012 version came out first....

...or you could create a gallery...... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?app=gallery

For those who can read Japanese.....you can get a sneak peek at the contents of issues 8 and 9 here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=29133&p=1011397 Based purely on the covers...they appear to be the same so far.....not sure, but I think sketchley had already posted some of the content information for 8 and 9.....

Other than the back covers.....has any of the content changed from the original 10 issue Hiroshima release? Sketchley: Would you mind indicating if the cover of the issue you are posting on is a new cover or not?.....Would be helpful to those who may have decided to just collect the issues with the new covers....thanks! I believe only 8 issues had new covers from the Hiroshima edition, based on what has been released, looks like they will not be introducing any new cover art until after issue 10.... Thanks!

......you're right, I'm old school.....probably why I am not really into the character toys at all....back in the day all that was available were toys and figures of the valks/destroids.....and we liked it......we loved it!!!! Grumpy Old Man

Thanks to Save's contact....we now know the Macross line from the company formerly known as Yamato is not dead....and good things are coming soon (never doubted it)..... How did the discussion turn into labeling Yamato/Arcadia Valk collectors elitists? I collect Macross items from all categories....does that make be an uber elitist? Sigh.... Maybe Kicker773 is right...stop sharing your collection with other fans so as not to offend anyone....

Not so much.... http://www.ebay.com/csc/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=yamato+macross+1%2F72&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc

The Origin of Valkyrie VF-1S is the hardest one to get....and is usually priced higher....unless you are a dead set on it...it would be easier and less expensive to get the Bandai VF-1S re-issue from 2001... Go here for info on all the 1/55 valks: http://anymoon.com/blog/?p=6244#more-6244

Yep...that's the funky headed one I was referring too....the only worse VF-1S head sculpt is arguably the Henkei or Yamato V1....
-
Origin of Valkyrie came after the initial re-releases of the 1/55 Takatoku molds by Bandai....they are essentially the same....both have minor improvements over the original Takatoku releases. The Origin of Valkyrie release included a vf-1j tv, vf-1s tv, vf-1a Hikaru dyrl with fast packs, and a first ever vf-1a max dyrl with fast packs. The previous Bandai re-issues included: vf-1j tv, vf-1s tv, vf-1a standard tv, Max vf-1j tv, Milia vf-1j tv, dyrl Hikaru vf-1a, and vf-1s tv with super pack And before these....there was a funky headed Bandai vf-1s tv with fast packs....around 1989 or 1990....

Hoping to hear from Graham much sooner...hope his contacts weren't victims of this "restructuring"...
-
I still say the TV style SDF-1 was up next from the now defunct Yamato....just a brief pause while this whole name change settles......I hope....maybe....

Wonder if Focker gets his eyebrows plucked by Claudia or goes and gets them professionally threaded?

It is from the original Hiroshima release issue 1....so I am not sure if the recent re-release of the same issue would have a different ISBN
-
Can't you just create a gallery?

http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=32805&view=findpost&p=1015141 You should be able to buy the first and second issue via Hobby Link Japan now....and future issues as they are released

Hello All... Wanted to get my feet wet on this whole Yamato valk customization thing...so based on what I have been reading, it seems the best and easiest place to start is with panel lining....my victim will be a VF-1S Fokker Version 1....its last chance for redemption! Anyways....I had a side question....will the head of a VF-1S Version 2 fit on it?...Or did anyone ever create a better looking head for the version 1.....it is IMHO the worst part about the sculpt..... Thanks!
-
I hope not...probably not regular releases though....with that said....I would like to see Macross Chronicle exclusives 1/48 VF-1S TV and VF-1D...
