The only positive to this odd release is that it is not a TV SDF-1....last thing we need if for Arcadia to "test the waters" for a TV SDF-1 release with something like the mini release, have it sell poorly, and conclude that no one wants a 1/3000 version...

Looks like an homage to the old Nichimo SDF-1 kit which also came with a mini section of South Ataria.......not sure why Arcadia's would be so expensive....maybe some unannounced gimmicks...

Toshimitsu Suzuki....here is the one used for the SDF-1 toy line in all scales as far as I know.....even the pics in cruiser mode are Suzuki I believe.... Would be interesting to know why Takatoku did not opt for Takani's rendition (which was used by Arii for their 1/5000 kit)...perhaps it was not ready at the time the SDF-1 packaging was needed for the first toy run?....then just kept it for the rest of the line? http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/arii/ar303-20-box.jpg ........here is tenjin's take on the TV SDF-1....style look familiar?

Another variant we'll never see from Arcadia...until they get to the bottom of the valk barrel...or start producing them based on fan voting....

Perhaps the VF-19P is a hint that another Zolan/D7 valk is in the works? or.... or even.....

Hopefully Mr. K will get "inspired" when he sees them at the show.....

Surely either Bandai or Arcadia will capitalize on the 30th anniversary of the Summer of Macross.....

Yes...it is either an original Takatoku Henkei or a nice knockoff.....or maybe one sold as a Convertor by Select toys.... If you want to relive your youth....check out ebay...there always seem to be knockoffs available.... If you want an original Takatoku....it will be tougher to find and much more expensive....of the non-Takatoku produced henkei valks...the Zardak will set you back 50-100 USD depending on condition....
