Maybe Arcadia will simply follow Bandai's 1995 lead for it's next releases after the VF-19 Goldfingered edition? Instant buys right?...right?!?! ...........soon followed by red chrome Milia and blue chrome Max Super VF-1J's!!! Finally!!!

Well, this is a "wish" list thread....makes sense to do it here than in some other thread....as long as folks stay true to the original intent of the thread...I say let them post/wish for whatever they want....

Wonder if this will make it to HLJ's Black Friday Sale? Although at 50% off it'd still be too much to pay for a 1/60 FB figurine set..... Any other release (Yamato/Arcadia/Bandai) and there would have been numerous posts by now claiming that a pre-order had been placed.....

Thanks for posting that....if you do not mind sharing the final shipping fee to you it would help give folks an idea of what to expect to pay when using a proxy service.... Also, just to give an example of how varied fees can be between proxies....the above sale would cost $152.41 BEFORE SHIPPING using Rinkya..... Not dissuading the use of Rinkya, but depending on what you are buying, they generally are always the more expensive option.....

So basically, 14 bucks for the 1/60 FB set (based on the combined cost for the original release).....I would have gladly paid 20+ via an online exclusive for them..... So is this going to be the most expensive general release 1/60 PT VF ever? Maybe it's just something to get us used to the idea.....so we are ready for the VF-0D....

At minimum, VF-1 Super/Strike packs don't seem to lose value (at least in-between re-issues)...so you can either trade or sell extras when you feel you no longer need them or want something else...

This? I believe that was a Yamato display...sort of a tease of what was in the "pipeline"....so perhaps the transparent red and blue armor meant some special "clear" fast pack re-issue, "extras" to come with the M&M VF-1Js....or just a hint that the M&M VF-1Js were going to be re-released soon..... Of course, that all died with Yamato.....who knows what Arcadia's business plans are...other than what we already know is coming.....although they are resurrecting the 1/60 FB figurine set....

Nice...finally we see the MtF SDF-1 in color....sort of looks like a hybrid of both the DYRL and SDFM scheme.....looks good!

Indeed....pulling the nostalgia card can be a powerful marketing tool.... We'll find out soon enough how powerful it is when it involves shelling out 30,000+ JPY for essentially a non-canon repaint in order to indulge in such nostalgic reminiscences...

Actually, that is exactly the subset of customer that will need to be motivated enough to buy this "repaint"....anyone who wanted one should have one by now.....the glut of available Kai's is due to either overproduction or just lack of interest......the point is you can find one in Japan if you are in the market for one and you will pay less than MSRP for it....so why would the average collector, you know, the collector who makes the argument that he/she is being "priced-out"...that Macross is becoming too expensive.....are they going to buy this re-issue now that it will certainly be way more expensive with the addition of the booster pack and 1/60 FB figurines set?.....unlikely Thus the only customers left are the hard core collector/completist.....and the regular collectors that never got one in the first place...either due to lack of interest or difficulty with justifying the price....if lack of interest...why get one now?....If price...well, I am pretty sure it will be way more expensive now....plus there are plenty of lower priced original releases to choose from..... I have a feeling this will be a very limited release...thus potentially making it a "hot" item....so Arcadia may be taking the Bandai route on this release...we'll have to see what happens.....It would not surprise me to see this release go either way.....hot collectible or another shelf-warmer......
