Man of Steel - Superman movie has a director
jvmacross replied to Mr March's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The thing with Superman is....how can Batman be relevant in the same world with forces as depicted in that last Nokia trailer? It is why the Marvel based movies work individually and as a collective whole.....and why DC movies on film can only exist on their own...I can possibly see Green Lantern...but not Batman as currently interpreted... With that said...really looking forward to Man of Steel....- 442 replies

Thanks for the info. I will do what I can to support the line and keep you busy!
-
Are you at liberty to discuss the choices made with this line? For example, why not start with the battroid design? And also, why the larger size and not the smaller one shown on the posted Robotech display? Nice job, I hope they do sell well so you can get to the destroids.....if you have not already they are small foil sticker/cards that came packed with these little dudes.....
-
So what's with the smaller versions? I would have preferred the line in the smaller size as it would be easier to collect/display them all together... Envision these in similar "plush" format..... Mk II: Maybe we will see the smaller collection on the next round? In the current size being marketed/sold, I can only see getting one...probably the VF-1S........the size is impractical....what kids are clamoring for these things???......It's the parents that grew up with "Robotech/Macross" that will be buying these "for their kids"..........oh well......I blame poor decision-making on Toynami if this fails to materialize a Series 2.....

How about a stable fold bubble filled with trapped air from 1984!!!

"brown" color on the 1/55 is still the best! -
An early 80's "survivor" valk!....
-
Not sure if Arcadia wants to reboot their PT Valk line by making the same mistakes that were made under the Yamato banner.....I am thinking they will make the 30th a limited release...they most likely already have a production count in mind and it is probably low based on the MSRP.....the only unknown is what the fan response will be at the checkout line....if we ever see these at discount then we will know Arcadia, like Yamato, overestimated demand again.....let's hope that does not happen....
-
The SDF-1 TV prototype your Arcadia contact finally sent you?
-
Thought those wallpapers were going to be the box cover image? Still photoshop...but sort of nicer...
-
A few more colors off the spectrum and this would have been the "pride" valk!.....or is that one next?
-
On the old Yamato site...all of their wares were always priced at MSRP....so it only made sense to get items not available via any other means.....or when they became no longer available via any other means...
-
Sorry, the licensing has only been secured for the VF-2SS due to the people's demand for it!!! http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=38499&page=15

reminds me of the design of this SD keychain....

Finally! I like how Toynami just surprises people with their releases...no idea this was coming out....pleasantly surprised....wonder if the Glaug will be coming out soon? Liking the smaller version....

Yep....which is why I added the "here we go again" blurb... It sounds bad to say you need to "blindly" support these releases, however, without enough people doing "close" to that....the line will abruptly end again... It is what it is... Pre-ordered 2....I want Arcadia to keep pumping out new, never made before VFs...even if at a limited release....made to order....or via exclusive partnerships and collaborations..... Still hoping for a TV SDF-1.....
-
just like the VF-4G....their MSRP reflects what they need to sell the valk for based on the number they have already decided to produce.....so whether we buy it or not...Arcadia will still make their bottom line on it.....the only group that can potentially be hurt are the retailers...but then again, they will just discount it to break even.....if we see this on a future HLJ fire sale...then we will know it was not well-received by the fans....which means "here we go again"

Next, he'll make a post about his nutty idea of "re-telling" the entire SDFM story so it is more inline with the rest of the "Macross Franchise" (there is more Macross?!?!?)....Crazy right? It'll never happen!!! He'll get banned permanently the second he brings up introducing "time travel" to the story! BTW...just noticed that the arm "armor" looks different too....hope Arcadia does something with these designs.....

LOL...I agree, don't care if they slap Engrish all over their new Arcadia-labeled boxes or don't provide good english translations on their website (that is what Google translate is for) ...as long as they help us non-Japanese fans by making their wares available online and by retailers that sell to the rest of the world! If this is a "web-exclusive"...then why is it at HLJ??? Don't know and don't care....just keep them coming Arcadia!..........SDF-1 TV soon please!!!!
