  1. It's not obsolete.....It's not obsolete.....It's not obsolete.....It's not obsolete.....It's not obsolete.....It's not obsolete.....It's not obsolete..... (yes it is....yes it is...yes it is....yes it is....yes it is....yes it is....yes it is....yes it is....yes it is....yes it is....yes it is....)
  2. Like I said...I used the term for it like several collectors use the term "commander type" for the VF-1J Mass Production Type....sorry if that confused anyone...
  3. Well....a "Focker" like a VF-1J Mass Production is aka "Commander Type"..... How could I forget! Added....
  4. So here is what I came up with as far as Macross toys that were never re-released and would probably (maybe?) sell decently if they were: Takatoku: GBP-1 set or combo (re-release would probably be via Bandai) Bandai: 1/55 VF-1S Strike Valkyrie 1/55 VE-1 Elint Seeker 1/55 VT-1 Super Ostrich Yamato: 1/60 VF-4G Lightning 1/60 VT-1 Super Ostrich 1/60 VF-1J Super Valkyrie Max Type 1/60 VF-1J Super Valkyrie Miria Type 1/60 VF-1J Mass Release/"Commander Type" 1/60 VF-X 1/60 VF-1A Angel Birds 1/60 VF-1D Virgin Road 1/60 VF-1S Low Viz version/"Stealth/Low Viz" Roy Focker 1/60 TV Fast Packs 1/100 VB-6 (if improved on the floppiness!) 1/48 VF-1A Low Viz 1/60 Destroids? (technically re-released as weathered, etc....re-releases might sell better if Arcadia bundled some extra new (support vehicles?) freebies with all of them and announced the completion of the Destroid line: Spartan and Phalanx) So kind of a short list when compared to everything that has enjoyed multiple releases....did I miss something? Any other Yamato (or other company) valks that never were re-released and are hard to find these days?
  5. I may have found Bandai's inspiration for their VF-1S head sculpt..... = ???
  6. canceled pre-order......placing all bets on Arcadia for PT valks going forward......based on what Bandai has done with this kit, I have little faith they can pull off a decent DX VF-1 sculpt, with that said....supporting the kit to encourage a DX VF-1 seems pointless...... Arcadia, don't fail me know!
  7. The list of things never re-released is much shorter than the list of things that have....
  8. Thanks...that makes sense....it just seems as if Global and crew seemed "surprised" when the transformation process is being explained to them in the episode..... Regarding the TV version ARMD....so the launch mechanism is probably the same then as in the DYRL version? Didn't the ARMD claws "grab onto" the fast packs? Or can they launch valks without them? Only reason I ask is because I thought in the TV storyline...fast packs were not "invented" or introduced until much later.....kind of fuzzy right now, but how exactly are the lancers deployed....has that ever been covered?
  9. because it is much more acceptable (less "outrage" aka death threats, boycotts, general unrest) to do it that way.....imagine the reaction if "failure" was tied into Muhammad....
  10. This was a good read..thanks! One question, before the "transformation" episode.....was the modular nature of the SDF-1 known? If not, what was the need to have the ARMDs docked to the SDF-1? To resupply them or to resupply the SDF-1?
  11. Macross Fever Pachinko by Sankyo Official Guide Book (more like booklet)....
  12. Crank it up!!!
  13. Have not seen it yet...but I had a question for those that have....Does the world envisioned in the Dark Knight trilogy fit into with the world as envisioned in Man of Steel? In other words, can Batman as seen in the latest trilogy be a part of the world of Man of Steel.....essentially a DC Universe? How about Green Lantern? The Marvel movies have done an excellent job of doing just that....heck, even Spiderman and X-men could easily cross-over even being created by different studios.....DC character movies have failed at trying to make one believable DC universe.........
  14. Finally found Book 1 from this vintage Macross Children's book set....this set is now complete! Interesting that Takatoku Toys selected the Toshimitsu Suzuki's illustration of the SDF-1 for their toy box art rather than a Takani illustration...guess they just wanted to use one illustrator for the toys vs. kits?
  15. New Ohsato Macross rubber/eraser figurine find....SDF-1!
  16. Me neither! ...actually, I do....PTPBD....it's pandemic!
  17. yeah but he ditched the awesome VF-1 and opted to go into potentially his final battle in a Queadluun Rau....thus pu$$y whipped.... (he then is never able to live that decision down from his fellow UNS pilot buddies and eventually his emasculation leads to his marriage troubles and gaudy outfits)....
  18. Wonder what BBTS paid for it? Someone on here sell it to them?

  21. Get rid of the 1993 Camaro Indy 500 pace car stripes.....eliminate all the decals....eliminate the 30th logo....then paint those VF-1Js in red and blue schemes with matching fast packs....crazy right?
