Thanks for the info on the artist...I do like how he illustrates Macross characters...Do you know if his drawings are originally done in color?...these fanzines are mostly black and white...but I do believe I have seen some of them in color.....unless fans are adding the color?

Every VF made by Yamato is going for much less...based on reverse speculation...now folks are thinking the prices will drop due to Arcadia re-issues so no one is really "fighting" for them anymore on auction..... http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c390862872 400+ USD VF-11C's are no longer the norm.... Still...I am not exactly sure if Arcadia will revisit the Macross 7 line anytime soon.....maybe next year? So 25000 JPY is actually a very good price....if you need to have one right now!!!.....

Collecting Macross is like any other compulsion....it can surely be treated with several psychotherapy sessions and a life-time of heavy medication.......with that said, some are beyond curable or simply enjoy being "sick"

interesting info on the 1/48....assuming they meant they did not acquire the 1/48 because they were "cracked" (unusable) and not due to "lack of potential sales"......or did they mean they just did not buy any mold that happened to be unusable....anyone have the original Japanese link? I doubt Aracdia would go back to 1/48 VF or even a V2 one-off in that scale......sooner I would think that Bandai may take another look at a DX version of their much maligned recent 1/72 VF in a new DX'd 1/48 version...since apparently Arcadia has the 1/60 scale locked up

looks good.....perhaps a white stripe above the black chest stripe and white skull and cross bones would help tone down the amount of "cannon fodder brown"....and would mimic the VF-1S "Roy" paint scheme

I believe those images can be found on the Tenjin Valkyries illustrations books....I forget which of the two... I do not think the box has been shown for the Arcadia VF-1S re-release...but maybe that would explain part of the higher cost......it surely explains it for the 30th VF-1J...
