  1. DeAgostini's Macross Chronicle or the Macross franchise in general?
  2. It's the greatest black friday weekend ever!!! HLJ will now discount it to 25% for cyber Monday!!!
  3. I'm thankful for HLJ's Black Friday Sale! It's like they subsidized my Thanksgiving Day meal!!!

  6. I miss the usual stuff...... However, could not pass on cancelling my YF-19's and VF-1's to get the black friday prices.....bizarre move from HLJ...hope they will not flake on all the cancelled orders that folks surely will be making.....
  7. Actually that seems to be the new going rate on YJA.....all 1/48s in general are going for retail or less.... The only Yamato valks still fetching a higher than average premium are the 1/60 Max and Milia VF-1Js (for now) and the VT-1 (again for now)....plus the weathered VFs and the VF-X (not sure if any of these will ever get reissued)....Even the once coveted 1/60 VF-1S low viz has lost it's luster....one recently was listed at around 18000 JPY and received no bids....I doubt it will ever see a reissue...
  8. Guess it all depends on how limiting you set the criteria.....
  9. Vintage Bandai 1/55 Hi-metal VE-1 and VT-1 toys seem to be having sort of a comeback in market value...nothing close to their all time highs...but still....maybe folks are losing faith that these will ever be re-issued.....DYRL 30th next year......maybe Bandai will surprise us! Bandai has definitely missed the "profit" boat on re-issuing these 2...along with the "strike", GBP armor set, and even the original SDF-1...... Bandai Hi-Metal 1/55 VT-1: http://page4.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/d148771581 http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m119073613 Bandai Hi-Metal 1/55 VE-1: http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/178634037 http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k171236433
  10. yep....assuming Mr. K won't surprise everyone at the end of the year with the CAD designs for their new baby.....but yeah...takes about a year if they are not even there yet....late December if anything... Don't forget DYRL 30th Anniversary next year....so I think it is reasonable to expect more DYRL stuff.....including a VT-1....
  11. It has to be something that is economically viable for Arcadia at this early stage in their business life......although I want the rest of the Sound Force....I would prefer to wait on them for a few more years and have Arcadia actually around to be able to make them......they really need to start making these toys based on the fan's willingness to spend on them....money talks after all.... SDF-1 TV makes sense to me.....I've wanted that for a long time......personally prefer TV designs over DYRL....throw in Max and Milia VF-1Js...the VT-1...and the rest of DYRL VF-1 skull squadron with fast packs and they will have a good 2014.... Crossing fingers!
  12. + = Arcadia should have left out the toy and added the skull & crossbones in a yellow hue like they are using for the line art on this new box....then they could have just repeated for Hikaru, Max and Kakizaki....still better than the average Yamato box.... Hopefully they leave out the "toy" pic on the YF-19 box, but keep everything else as their new "standard box graphics"....we will all know what the toys look like by release time....no need for it to be plastered on the box....
  13. Box cover should have omitted the pic of the toy...then it would have been classy...but then again, is this the slip sleeve cover?....the box itself probably will be like the 30th VF-1J.....or maybe the line art minus the pic of the toy....that would be nice...overall I like it better than yamato's photoshop'd boxes... Either way...keeping the pre-order due to this not being "off-white"...as it should be based on the animation and every color pic I have ever seen of it....never understood why Yamato went "off-white" for their DYRL VF-1's... looking at it again...the design is a combination of the 1/48 weathered VF-1S box and the built "no-paint" 1/60 VF-1S...2 of my favorite box designs...good work Arcadia....loose the toy pic for the Hikaru box!.....
  14. What exactly did the Anti-Unification Alliance believe it could accomplish on it's own against "what they knew was coming"?
  15. GGemini custom Macross the First VF-1J.....http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=37248
  16. Wonder how long before Arcadia gets this bold in their releases? Then again...it was an exclusive (although briefly available at some online retailers for a while)... It's ironic that the VF-X is actually one of the few valks that still commands a premium these days after the fall of Yamato....but that Yamato/Macross Chronicle must have over-estimated it's initial demand (thus ending up at HLJ along with the Angel Birds)...I'm sure this lesson played into the new strategy of valks "made to order" from Yamato for the VF-4 and now Arcadia.....a wise choice....too late for Yamato, but a good move for Arcadia.... Another marketing/sales strategy would be to build them per "fan choice" polls and up-front payments......that may be the only way to ever see obscure valks (like the VF-X) in the future....
  17. White DYRL VF-1's with SV-51 style stands and water-slide decals.....this is nothing like a Yamato valk!
  18. Wait......they will be white like the TV versions???......suddenly (as of yet unseen) photoshop'd box covers are no longer a reason to cancel my preorders......never understood why they weren't white to begin with.....every time I've seen them in DYRL.....they look white to me...not off-white.....
  19. ...and for godsakes do not ever transform it! Doing so puts you in direct violation of Big West licensing and copyrights!!!
  20. Can someone ask Mr. K if Macross the First VFs and SDF-1 are on the way? Was kind of hoping for them as perhaps a Macross Chronicle exclusive, but I guess there will be no Macross Chronicle exclusives at all....
