  1. Fz-109a Fz-109f So Arcadia can also do a VF-14 Vampire (Macross Plus version)....
  2. No, V1 will not fit V2 without significant modification
  3. Although it was the 30th anniversary of the original SDFM........seems most of the focus was on Macross Frontier.... DYRL 30th next year!!! VE-1, VT-1, VF-1 Stike Pack bundles????...
  4. HG seems to believe they own the international distribution rights for anything with the word "Macross" in it....among others....so I doubt it since the forthcoming movies are "Macross" movies... I think Bandai finally, with the help of sharing the same region code for BD with the US, grew tired of the whole international distribution rights issues and losing money because of it..... They probably just did not get around to finally making the decision until now..... Hopefully, they will be able to figure out just how many more sales are generated with this "special edition" (wink, wink) release....and if those figures are good and more than make up for the cost of adding them...then I think we can expect to see more JAPAN-ONLY English-subtitled Macross TV and films..... Way to go Bandai! Thank You!
  5. Dang!!! How long have you had that poor VF-1S in direct sunlight???
  6. VF-4G has been trending for about 400 USD in Japan....thus the higher prices on ebay to make up for proxy fees, shipping to US and some profit on the resale....
  7. nah...selling at MSRP or less now.... http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e145795589 I think the collective thought among all Yamato 1/60 PT VF collectors at the moment is that everything will see the light of day again at some point...thus the downward push on current prices for most Yamato 1/60 PT VF's.... It is once again a buyer's market....buy now and get what you want at no more than MSRP.....can't lose....even if it is re-released by Arcadia...it will certainly cost more than the original Yamato MSRP.....
  8. Of course HG can't stop whatever happens to Macross in Japan... The point is that they have been very successful at controlling it virtually everywhere else. With that said...I was merely pointing out that whatever leverage HG may have thought it had, in relation to video releases, has suddenly been nullified with this upcoming release. The only downside is that now there is probably less of a chance of ever being able to purchase these releases at non-import prices. And that is probably bad for many Macross fans outside of Japan who may just not have the funds or cannot rationalize the expense of importing this set. I just hope it does sell well enough so as to ensure the addition of subtitles to future Macross releases (for those of us who can afford them)....my fear is that poor sales would make Bandai conclude that no one outside of Japan cares about Macross....and I think it would be fair to blame HG for that.
  9. but the white bits on it are not bright white!!!!!!!!!!
  10. This development sort of eliminates HG's stranglehold on Macross releases in the US. It was only a matter of time. I really hope Bandai is able to quantify just how much extra profit is generated by this change in policy regarding English subtiles for new Macross product. If HG had any business sense, they'd ease up on what must be ridiculous US/non-Japan licensing fees and still have exclusive rights for the Macross franchise outside of Japan. But now, if this MF release does well....Bandai won't need the HG middle man (did it ever?).....which I guess is still a win-win for non-Japan fans anyways, as long as Bandai continues adding English subtitles to future Macross releases. My advice for HG would be to reboot their entire Robotech franchise....unbind Macross from Southern Cross and Mospeada....and release everything on Bluray...starting with SDFM....then followed by M0, MPlus, M7, and MF..... If they could only stop being so stupid and greedy.......they are throwing money away (and that's just from the TV/movies!)....In the end, I guess I don't care where official English-subtitled Macross come from...but I am sure they would be a lot less expensive coming from some US distributor.....or local distributor from any given country
  11. Will buy this... The 30th anniversary of DYRL is next year....wonder if a limited release of it with english subs is coming? SDFM TV??? To anyone who ever complained about the lack of English subs on Macross product......time to show why that decision has been like throwing extra sales/profits away... HG must be shaking in their boots!
  12. Macross Zero and Macross the First are just part of the grand scheme of bringing together the in-universe sound-fold science concepts.....It really all started with M7....then M0....and now MtF is introducing the concepts of fold science to "SDFM" that were introduced in MF.....we now have fold-enduced time-space anomalies in the world of Macross...and I believe this also plays out in the M30 game......and when you introduce "time travel" in sci-fi.....anything is possible I do not think there is any going back.....I think MF did a good job at handling these more "sci-fi" concepts.....so I hope the next series follows suit..... Maybe a new series where a group of evil fold scientists and greedy corporations want to manipulate history all the way back to the Protoculture Era.....thus introducing the Protoculture and in the course of the series, easily bring back anyone or anything they want for the sake of plot twists (like the Megaroad? kind of hinted already in MtF)......who knows.....
  13. You know a thread is about to go critical mass when terms like "elitist", "hard core" and "fanatic" start creeping into a discussion.....
  14. This guy is really good!
  15. maybe they want to do a 1/60-ish scale instead?
  16. nope. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=40095
  17. It looks like the design of the box was complete...but then the photoshop guy came in and said..."no!!!...needs one of my photo-shopped pics inserted!!!"
  18. 1/55 Hi-Metal VE-1 Elintseeker 1/55 Hi-Metal VT-1 Super Ostrich 1/55 Hi-Metal VF-1S Strike Valkyrie (Hikaru and a new Roy) DYRL 30th Anniversary re-releases!!!
  19. Although both are fancels....I thought the artist really did a great job at capturing the "look" of the character art-style for Sharon as seen in Macross Plus....
  20. yep.....limitations probably due to the scale and/or design of the figurine/cockpit area....I'm sure some enterprising fellow (cough, cough...EXO) on this board could design a nicer proportioned set of 1/60 scale pilots in a slew of poses....and not just for both of the the VF-1 types
  21. Guess they were trying to place the hands in a position relative to the flight controls of the DYRL VF-1 cockpit..... Which is different from the VF-1 cockpit from the TV series....which explains the TV version pilot figurine....
  22. On the bright side, I guess you can never loose parts and know precisely where they are at at all times!
  23. Really wish they would approach Arcadia again and instead release exclusive Macross accessories for the 1/60 line....flight deck crews and accessories, different pose pilot figures, exclusive PT valks, destroids, enemy craft....hangar pieces to complete a nice hangar for 1/60 valks......anything but what they currently seem to have in mind.....
  24. Yes..."guns"...it's all detailed in the link provided.... 1 x OverTechnology Macross super-dimension-energy cannon with beam polarizing converging system (bow) 8 x OverTechnology guided converging beam cannons 4 x high speed 178 cm electro magnetic rail cannons
