Really stands out with a few stickers..... Why no tampo Arcadia? Based on all the gripes....I'd say the lack of tampo is the most obvious omission.....
-
Zentrans/Meltrans vary in size/height.....I think the fig is "average height" .........so it's legit! http://www.macross2.net/m3/forfansonly/zentradiheight.html

So in 3 to 4 centuries.....Macross will evolve into Transformers? Nice art and like your new logo better than the current NUNS logo!
-
Toss in a love triangle and you have yourself a potential Macross tv series contender!
-
When I read this I imagined a small clip shown within some Macross future series.....a TV spot advertising an upcoming episode of COPS "Zentran" edition, highlighting the SMS's daily battles within some emigrant ship's Zentran/Meltran ghetto....

I felt like a stranger in a strange land in that neck of the MW woods.....

Totally agree with this.....but it's not all shops (just most of them!)....HLJ is basically the only one that seems to really have a decent, non-convoluted return/refund/exchange/replace policy...... But, perhaps folks seem to forget this....and instead of waiting for "real world" examples of what can happen to you....it might be worth pointing out the policies every now and then......perhaps pin a topic on the "WHERE TO BUY" section? Ultimately....it is "BUYER BEWARE" and "READ WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING"

Via the proxy payment service that both parties (buyer and seller) have agreed to use to complete transactions....both agree to abide by whatever rules that proxy has in place.... But, yeah.....return shipping is not covered.....the only time that happens is with major league retailers....and they usually are reputable and "big" enough to deal with directly....

Nippon Yassan: Problems of Quality or Non-conformity In the case of receiving a product that differs with the order (dis-functioning or non-conform), the Buyer must file his claim within 7 business days of receiving the shipment. Claims shall be sent as Registered Airmail to Nippon-Yasan.com (seriously? ) at the aforementioned address, and must include: - The Buyer's address and identity. - The references of the product. - The motivations of the claim. Product returns shall be done within 7 business days from the attribution of a return identification number by Nippon-Yasan.com Service Center. In any other case, Nippon-Yasan.com may not proceed in any refund or any exchange of returned products. All products to be exchanged or refunded shall be returned as Registered Airmail to Nippon-Yasan.com in their original packaging. The products must be complete with all their accessories, as in the original order. Shipping costs are to be paid by the Buyer. The Buyer remains responsible for all risks and damage resulting in the return of his shipment. In the case of non respect of the above procedure, the Buyer may not file any claim for non-conformity or defect of the delivered products. In other words.....pay with a credit card or via paypal and deal with a refund/exchange through either of those two payment proxies. I would not deal with Nippon Yassan directly if something similar happened through them.....anyone have any experience with a refund/exchange through NY??? But at least they are not flat out saying you are SOL like AmiAmi!!!
-
Wait...what? Since when has AmiAmi been anyone's LAST alternative on MW? Lately that has been reserved for NY....and I am just referring to Macross stuff since that is all I collect and see others posting about....

So how is kicker773's refund coming along? Hope he went the Paypal route...especially now...case history and all.... Sucks to be AmiAmi right about now... Not to defend or help out AmiAmi...but if they want to keep screwing with foreign customers...they need to include some waiver in the checkout process that foreign buyers need to check before final payment, basically saying that if you check it you agree to hold them non-liable for any mfg defects, etc. .... Or they can just do the right thing and treat all their customers equally?
-
He wants his full purchase price back...which happens to include the cost of originally having it shipped to him....his cost to return to AmiAmi will come out of his pocket....assuming Paypal even requires him to return it.....
-
Mommar said via Paypal dispute...so yes...they changed their tune under threat of paypal blacklisting....Mommar...you have them in your crosshairs....may as well go for the kill....either way you come away better than with the original 15 dollar brush off.... Just tell Paypal that their offer is good but you feel a full refund including shipping is what you want...especially since you will need to pay to return it.... Maybe a small secret mark inside the box to let anyone on this board know it was yours if they receive the same busted wing -19.... Good luck!

That's 2 of us!

Nah! Folks will be glued all night to the AmiAmi site during the next Bandai DX 2 minute pre-order party! The lure of a 15% discount is just too powerful.....
-
Yes, paying for return shipping is to be expected. Only huge retailers can afford to offer free return shipping due to negotiated shipping deals with the UPSs and FedEx's of the world..... I'd still like to know when AmiAmi changed their tune from 15 dollar refund to Full refund minus shipping......I'm guessing AmiAmi does this BS enough times to know they can get away with it ALOT, but knows that screwing with their business relationship with Paypal is not worth it when confronted with the "biggest sabre rattlers" .......Paypal can BLACKLIST just as well as they can I guess....
-
I would not recommend working with them directly.....what has paypal said?...Did you initiate a dispute?...Are they making you the offer of a refund before having the paypal dispute initiated or did they offer refund minus shipping after you initiated a dispute with paypal? paypal is your "big (only) stick" in this case.....use it wisely

Does it matter? All it takes is one shafting from a big ticket item to lose all your savings from past purchases..... Cheap stuff is expensive in the long run.....
-
If Bandai Visual decided to wait until the last possible moment to announce English subs and/or dubs......I wonder if they would be able to discern any significant increase in the number of pre-orders....

Macross Plus and Macross 7 both contain what every other Macross animated show has as it's 3 main characteristics......transforming fighters.....music.....love triangle.........'nuff said..... This Macross formula has more or less worked for the last 30 years....and no sponsor, assumingly Bandai, is going to risk a significant investment by signing onto a Macross project that will deviate from what has made this franchise a proven money-maker for decades......
