I think they are OK if you can get them for 20 bucks or so.....at least they look better than Toynami's own so-called "Masterpiece" line....with that said...I'll probably only buy the TV Max VF-1A from the current set....

The only thing that looks "dated" is the dang hair on some of the imperials on the original Star Wars....aka A New Hope.... Plus....I'm pretty sure Rouge Squadron was also pumping the dramatic final attack orchestral score via hi-fidelity 8-track players mounted on their X-wing dashboards!

Found this book recently....had never run into it before....not sure at the moment...but I don't recall if the Hikaru, Misa and Minmay illustrations are published elsewhere....perhaps Mikimoto created them specifically for this book.....would have to check my other books....

SDFM cels are indeed hard to come by lately. There have been quite a few very nice genga though. I am actually beginning to appreciate the genga more than the painted cel itself, especially if it is obvious that key animators are involved via their quality. Picked these up recently:

Here is the latest from my ongoing quest to complete a set of Protodeviln crew cels.... Gigile.... Only need Valgo now..... Here are the rest of my Protodeviln cels..... Gepelnitch.... Gavil..... Sivil..... Glavil..... Goram and Zomb...... What I really need at this point is a really nice VF-2SS cel or an Ishtar.....my cel collection continues to have a Macross II void....

Nice...so does this mean they are officially not being released by Toynami?.....or did you sneak them off the cargo ship holding them that is indefinitely docked in Shanghai?
