more of a concern than a criticism....as it would seem the SAP may possibly not materialize due to insufficient sales of the SAP-less VF-2SS...which if were to happen, would go down as a bad business decision IMO...

Still all-in on the VF-2SS, however, I have to question their marketing strategy. Sure, the "naked" -2SS will be bought by the die-hard fans....but I think starting off with a fully armed -2SS would have appealed to a much wider audience. If this info gets out enough, casual collectors may decide to cancel existing pre-orders and "wait" for the SAP equipped version....that will never come due to poor sales of the "plain Jane" VF-2SS.... Time to add a third pre-order....

yeah...there is one seller on YJA that insists that you need to go through some very specific proxy bidder to buy his cels.....incidentally, those cels have been listed and relisted for years! You probably know which ones I am referring to.... yeah, but the few that he has sold probably made up for all the ones he has purchased and not sold.....he usually does not bid too high as the assumption is he needs to "make a profit" (although his pricing strategy could use some tweaking)...but his latest "acquisition" was sort of pushing his usual purchase price limits....I'm thinking he will list the Hikaru at around $600 and the Isamu at $700 or $800...and if they do sell, I'm thinking we need to form a cel purchasing cartel and split the profits away from him!

Yeah...I was told a funny theory by a fellow MWer about that seller....he said that he probably buys the cels and tells his wife they are for "selling" on ebay...the unrealistic prices are in hopes none of them ever actually sell! I have no issue with him "buying low, selling high"...but the problem is he doesn't seem to have a grasp of the actual US market rate for the vast majority of his stock.....I am fairly certain that many would easily sell even at doubling of the original purchase price....but he seems to think US buyers are willing to pay 3X or more for cels....I too have offered up to double what he has paid on some of them and he never "bites"....so that theory might actually be true!

So the PWS-0X and VF-0A cannon fodder can't possibly be the next big Arcadia release right? RIGHT? Battle 7 or TV SDF-1 announcement being saved for Winter Wonderfest 2015?

Arcadia is pretty clever...just when you thought you could opt out on the whole "new" VF-0 line...now you need to at least get the VF-0S so you can properly display a VF-0 with PWS-0X...hoping they get the colors right and release a combo pack!

Here it is next to a V1 1/60 VF-1J with GBP armor....I'd say the Toynami is closer to the "bruiser" look of the Yamato V1 GBP than the V2.... ....I think the worst part of the Toynami GBP (besides the price) is the nosecone armor piece....it basically just covers the front half.....it looks like they could have made a piece to fit the back, but they opted not to.....

Evolution Toy's gimmick is the use of magnets...it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to imagine that they would somehow incorporate the use of magnets into their VF-2SS....possibly with the attachment of the SAP armor at some point....would help explain the lack of visible attachment points....

It makes perfect sense.....as I said..."if you value the engineering that goes into the toy more so than the "general look of the toy"...then this is probably not for you... In other words, it's close enough that folks who have been wanting a VF-2SS for years will be more forgiving about its flaws.....folks like yourself who are more interested in line art accuracy will just need to keep waiting.....

The reason is simple...it's never been attempted by anyone before....and perhaps never again....you need to be a fan of the design first to understand....if you value the engineering that goes into the toy more so than the "general look of the toy"...then this is probably not for you....best to wait for a better version
