I wonder if the newly reported "packaging" related issues are leftovers from the initial holiday shipments...or are they still shipping them out with shoddy packing? Send out packed in a way that damage is all but guaranteed = potential for another $85? I hope everyone gets their issues resolved, personally I would not drop a single dime more to get my helmet "fixed"....hope to hear some good outcomes from this mess soon.

I don't own that one in particular from the Megahouse line, but I do have this one....they are way more faithful to the look of the actual anime character than the upcoming Volks, which look sorta creepy like the rest of the Volk dolls...

Based on what Bandai has in the pipeline...Arcadia would be foolish not to re-release the Max and Millia VF-1J's.....they have already countered with the GBP-1J reissue....Super VF-1S TV may follow....plus a Super VF-1A TV combo boxset would be nice....with a slew of squadron insignias to customize your valk...or force you to buy more? ....of course, they could always re-release their Regult as a toy or complete the Destroid line???

A lesson for us all....Make sure your wife/gf/parents/other know not to make your stuff yard sale fodder...in case you were to unexpectedly buy the farm....

The TV SDF-1 and VF-2SS have a lock on 50% of the total votes for first choice....so if Arcadia announces either or none....the majority will still be disappointed....Welcome to MacrossWorld!

Initially, probably....the first ones listed fetched much higher prices than the ones currently ending at around 100-150 USD......perhaps these did not pre-sell as well as masei would have liked or maybe HG caught wind and now they are trying to liquidate? ebay is flooded with all sorts of "styles" right now.... Wonder if the feedback on the recent sales will mention any QC issues?

If so, then you would be covered. Also, you can only use one buyer protection service...either eBay's, Paypal's or your CC protection. Seems to me the only risk is that the seller will not be able to fulfill the pre-order, in which case, you would get your money back. And that can happen with any retailer. In short, unless you have not been able to secure a pre-order anywhere else, then buying one from an eBay seller should be fine.....especially if it is just a redundant purchase.

The pricing for original art will always be subjective. The pencil drawing above was hand drawn by Mikimoto himself...so it's unquestionably worth "something"....

....there have been other cels from this sequence listed over the years and they were slightly different.....pretty sure it is legit....now way I'd pay that much for it though....I prefer my Minmay cels fully clothed!

I hope Masei comes through and fixes all of the issues that have been reported. Seems like if the helmets were shipped they have some amount of damage. If Masei does not cooperate and you paid via Paypal, you are covered for up to 180 days from the purchase date for any damages incurred during shipping. Assuming you purchased as "merchandise" and did not send the payment as a "gift", which I would hope no one did. Even with the issues reported, these are still great display pieces....I think it would look even better as a display piece if a blue tint was added to the visor, some "simulated" HUD graphics to the visor applied, and perhaps a blue LED inside the helmet.....

Is the visor molded in red or black? Are the side arrow graphics also orange-ish on yours? I would prefer a red "Hikaru"...but after seeing the pics I'm leaning towards a blue "Max".....
