I haven't checked in a while but the VF Masterfiles book covering the VF-25 might have some stuff too

Plenty on YJA... http://auctions.search.yahoo.co.jp/search?p=VF-1J+2015&aq=-1&oq=&ei=UTF-8&slider=0&tab_ex=commerce&auccat=0

Megahouse says it's good enough for you! Bandai says no more TV SDF-1 for now, come back maybe in 2 years!
-
Actually, the whole leg is off.....the upper part of the leg is just too short.....in this instance, as a parts-former, an extra set of legs for attack mode would have been completely acceptable.....guess we still have to wait for either Arcadia's 1/3000 (a fool's hope?) or Bandai's SOC DX 1/1800 or 1/3000 TV SDF-1 to get a definitive rendition.....
-
At least it's not another SD version....

The 30 year old Takatoku 1/6300 was built as attack mode only....so the lower legs are more accurate, in terms of the proportions of the "blue part" of the leg that contributes to it's lengthy appearance.....this pic shows that the Megahouse is the complete opposite...it was built to showcase the cruiser mode.....the legs are too stubby....perhaps if they pull out a bit it will give them a "longer" appearance to compensate for the stubbiness....still, not sure what possible limitation could have made them mold it so short...as a parts-former they could have even provided separate legs for attack mode....oh well....still the best overall TV SDF-1 to be released......so far....

Some comparison shots to the lineart....lineart courtesty of Macross Mecha Manual....Megahouse pics from AmiAmi.....
-
Edit* Nyankodevice legs better match the lineart.... "legs" look kind of stubby....I wonder if maybe they forgot to slide down the legs more to make them appear longer....
-
A DX SOC 1/35 "Valkyries of Macross" YF-19 would be bigger

Unless we hear something soon from Arcadia I have to agree.... I would think Bandai wouldn't announce it anytime soon as that would just cannibalize sales of the Megahouse and their 1/1800 future grail...

I wonder who nabbed the 1/3000 SDF-1 TV license?

Pre-order placed with HLJ....Will keep an eye out for the annual Black Friday sale from HLJ....I think there will be about 5 really good Macross possibilities on that sale....
-
When was the last time there was this much Macross goodies available for purchase or soon to be available? It's just the prequel to The Year of Macross!!!
-
So it seems like maybe there were enough pre-sells to greenlight the SAP? But, what if all the preorders start getting cancelled? Because it makes perfect sense for folks to drop the single for the combo....strange marketing....
-
So this is a parts-former? Still in.....will wait and see if it is part of a HLJ black friday deal.....
-
It would be odd for them to be showing off a Sylvie with fast packs.....but who knows, maybe there are folks who don't mind one without the fast packs.....guess we will find out soon enough....thinking the SAP-equipped VF-2SS is a Nexx......if it is also a Sylvie...will drop one preorder.....I prefer combo sets whenever possible...

What was in the pipeline is all in this pic....No speculation or lucky guessing required...Arcadia can complete it if they wanted to....

When the toys hit bargain basement prices....it is just hurting the retailer in the short run...the toy vendor has already made their money once the last case of toys is sold at wholesale to retailers....in the long run, the vendor will start to feel the impact of their toys constantly going on clearance if the retailers decide to scale back on what they perceive to be poor sellers/profit generators....or something like that...

After the nostalgia wave has ended.....I wonder if the Vajra will eventually make it into the HMR line?
