the Hi-Metal R line seems to be getting much attention now.....guess that is what happens when scheduled "sell-out" strategies are employed.... How many times has this GBP-1J appeared to have "sold out" everywhere...only to become "available" the next day? Perhaps Bandai is employing a new sales strategy for a line that many may not have considered this time around due to past experiences with it.....basically, to make you think if you do not get it now...you may lose out later....enticing you with a "second", "third", "fourth" chance to buy it before it's too late!!! Anyway, I do hope they eventually come out with everything they have teased us with....I am really liking this line for it's "completeness" in one single scale...the fact that it is all SDFM mecha also helps!

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Sounds about right....loose collectibles tend to lose anywhere between 30-50% of current market value...the VF-11C commands about $400+ for MISB (after proxy fees and shipping)... Welcome to the VF-11C owners club...... It's funny, the VF-11C was a shelf warmer for the longest time.....market price-wise it is now the king of the cannon fodders!!! -
of course, replacement is not guaranteed by any shop....a replacement item can't be sent if it does not exist....however, A REFUND IS ALWAYS AN OPTION....IF YOU PURCHASE FROM PAYPAL AND HAVE A VALID REASON FOR IT.... Per Paypal: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/security/buyer-protection Your order arrives, but it's significantly different than it was describedThere are a variety of scenarios that meet this condition, for instance: You received a completely different item. Example: You purchased a book, but received a DVD. The item is missing parts or features, and this was not disclosed. Example: The listing said batteries included - but they weren't. You purchased a specific quantity of an item - but received the wrong amount. Example: You purchased five pairs of fuzzy dice, but only received four. The item was damaged en route to its destination. Example: You bought a beautiful antique lamp - and it arrived in pieces. You received a counterfeit version of the item. Example: You purchased a Rolex but received a Faux-Lex. Of course, you should try to resolve the issue with the seller first, unfortunately, based on several member experiences, some of these shops do not want to even entertain the idea of some kind of fair resolution.....in those cases....if you pay with PayPal.....they have you covered....so don't feel like you have to keep something you are not 100% satisfied with..... Happy Collecting MacrossWorld!

Keep in mind.....If you pay via PayPal...........PayPal's buyer protection policies TRUMP any policy that the online shop may have........ By accepting PayPal payments....the online shop is essentially agreeing to abide and allowing to have PayPal's policies overrule their own.....

Do you prefer TV or DYRL paint scheme?
jvmacross replied to potatotomato's topic in Movies and TV Series
In DYRL...Hikaru is seen piloting the VF-1A, VT-1, and VF-1S......depending on which version of DYRL you watch he is also seen piloting a VF-4.... In the DYRL VF-1J with GBP armor sequence....it is being piloted by someone else...not sure if that pilot is ever officially identified.... Note that in the film version of the GBP-1J...the tips of the missiles are yellow....in the the TV version the missile tips are red.... The VF-1S with blue stripe is seen in DYRL being piloted by Max..... -
LOL....but pretty sure this thing will sell-out though......

All we have is hope....

I loved this blue too.... .....maybe we'll get the new VF-0A grey on the boxart!!
-
looks great! ...but what's with the blue? Arcadia just can't help itself when it comes to "tinkering" with the long standing colors for these valks!

jvmacross replied to potatotomato's topic in Movies and TV Series
Although the VF-1J is only seen wearing GBP armor in the film, with the exceptions I noted, there is no reason why it should look any different than the TV version... Look them up here: http://www.macross2.net/m3/m3.html The VF-1S "also" looks great in DYRL Max colors.... -

With the exception of the hands and perhaps the canopy, in theory, the tv and dyrl versions of the VF-1J should both look the same.... Are you perhaps referring to the Macross the First VF-1J? -
What a refreshing point of view!!!

You can just find yourself a hi-res space background or whatever it is you need and have it printed at kinkos or someplace that can do it on quality printers....have it printed on large poster boards and then cut out the sections based on the sizes you need.... I did something similar using 8.5 x 11 plain paper via a color laser printer....but it would probably look better with quality paper on high-end color printers.....

LOL! I've been collecting Macross toys for a long while and out of all the recent releases this new reboot of the Bandai Hi-Metal line has me excited about Macross toys again. I think it is a combination of the toys being from the original SDFM and also potentially being a pretty thorough toy set of all the major Macross mecha in one single scale. That literally has not been offered by any toy company in the history of Macross toys....ever! Hopefully, this line doesn't die due to lack of interest.....the sell-out of the pre-orders everywhere is a good sign....but only time will tell.
