Are you referring to Matchbox's re-colors of the Destroids....or perhaps Yamato's? Takatoku did not recolor their Destroid line....unless you count the oddball mini vinyls and rubber figurines?
  3. Febri Magazine..... Macross Delta Edition Nice little book.....good appetizer while we wait for first official Macross Delta art book.....assuming there is one coming! Will post more pics when I get a chance...

Minmay # 1!!! "Taking the number one spot, and renewing my faith in humanity is the sci-fi classic Super Dimension Fortress Macross. Macross’s Minmei is the anime idol, inspiring legions of sequels and ripoffs through the decades." http://www.otakuusamagazine.com/LatestNews/News1/Japanese-Fans-Rank-Top-16-Idol-Anime-6175.aspx
  8. My apologies Mog....I thought it was a link to a store.... Anyway, I registered with them and they seem easy enough to use...plus their fees are straight forward....500 JPY for anything under 5000 JPY and 9% of the cost for anything higher.... The only issue is the storage. They do not appear to list how long they will hold anything for you? I will ask them. This is the biggest issue for me....I buy many things from YJA and to save on shipping, a really long storage period works best for me. If this proxy will only hold it for a few days or up to 30...then they are about the same as other proxy bidding companies. The only thing that will ultimately differentiate these type of proxies will be the fees.

No worries...I actually don't want to paint it...is there a pic out there showing what it looks like assembled out of the box?
  13. I would have suggested for you to add it here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41210 However, it does not carry any Macross....so I guess that would be inappropriate.... It definitely does not belong here as this thread is to discuss the current market prices for Macross collectibles only.....

  15. If you could accumulate dozens of items at their warehouse and then consolidate everything and ship it at the 90 day mark....it was a lot cheaper than shipping a few things at a time.... What other proxy bidders can let you store items for 90 days?
  16. I would have advised to have just bid at the last minute...it would have not have added another 5 minutes to the clock as long as you were the only bidder.....the auction would have been over before any other potential buyer had a chance to think about placing a bid....let alone sufficient time to actually place it! A snipe bid is like coming out of hyperspace to close to a planetary system.... Your competition now knows you are there and may come out to challenge you after being on the fence for a long time when "no one else wanted it"... The snipe bid comes in automatically at the 5 minute mark....that is more than enough time for anyone to mount a counter bid.... As long as no one else has had their eyes on it....you should be OK.....
  17. Pink Pecker Squadron beats all other Squadron names!
  18. Figure this is as good as any other thread to post this.... Buyee will start charging you to store items you've purchased after 30 days..... Before you could store free of any fees for up to 90 days..... http://faq.buyee.jp/articles/en_US/FAQ/q52/?l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1 Guess they have been getting a lot of business....I have been using them for a few years now, but now their storage fees really will not make them any better than other proxy bidding services.... http://buyee.jp/information/public/list#info_316
  19. For a limited, show exclusive item like this....you are more or less at the mercy of the seller and your own idea of what it is worth to you....you are going to be limited in the locations in which you can buy it..... I would say if you are comfortable with the starting bid....go for it....I have seen this one relisted several times so you are likely to win it at the starting bid.....unless he shills you into paying more..... http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/201827237
  20. The short answer....skip eBay and select a proxy bidding service....then search on YJA..... Here is a list of recent completed auctions for Bandai VF-25's....look at the ending prices for the renewals to get an idea of what they will cost you...if you are patient you should be able to pick most up for less than 20k JPY plus proxy and shipping fees..... http://closedsearch.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/closedsearch?p=VF-25+DX&aq=-1&oq=&x=33&y=46&ei=UTF-8&slider=0&auccat=0
