I was out of it for a bit and come back to see I missed the PO for the Super VF-1A Hikaru....luckily the PO was missing the madness part....grabbed one at AmiAmi... And looks like bandai is going forward with everything they said they would release.....I've said it before those "Display Only" cards may as well just say "Coming Soon".... In Bandai We Trust.....

You are welcome! Not sure and I have no idea where I have them at the moment, but the Document of Macross furokus from a few years ago had some color images of pre-production/concept Macross mecha....but not sure if the two you are referencing may have been two of those included in those furokus.... None as far as I know....hopefully Bandai has been busy tweaking it with things like "magic hands", built-in side and neck covers, retractable wings for battroid mode, sound effects for the GU-11 gunpod, and other gimmicks worthy of the one Valkyrie to rule them all!

Glad those SV-52 concepts were dropped...they look too much like a combo of a VF-11 and VF-22......I think Kawamori came to the correct conclusion that an Anti-UN mech could not resemble anything UN designed, which carries forward to the latest SV designs we saw in MD...

It's only "franchise suicide" if collectors stop buying them.....besides, I'm one of the "old folks"...so bring on more quality VF-1 rehashes! Like this one.....dang, has it been 2 years?...keep hope alive!

Pretty sure I read in another article that this series precedes the Hobbit as well....since this series is being done wirh the apparent blessings of the Tolkien Estate....and it is being sold as a prequel....pretty sure it will be relying on content from The Silmarillion. I hope the showrunners are able to capture the feel of Peter Jackson's LOTR.....I am thinking that is the target audience's expectation...

yeah...I recall the Regults and the funky Q-Rau/Regult from the first episode too....then the singing started and I forgot what else may have been in that episode...or the ones after! It may be time for a second screening of Delta for me....

The base is a nice touch.....however, not liking the sculpt for their TV SDF-1.....again, like the recent Super VF-1J statue...it seems that they may have enlisted the same sculptor who happens to be a big T. Suzuki fan.....don't get me wrong...I'm a 100% Suzuki fan, but his SDF-1 illustration does not translate very well into 3D form....at least the one done by KL Kudos to Kidslogic for releasing something like this though.....with that said, if they are releasing this in 1/1200....is is too much to ask for Bandai or Arcadia to release a SOP or DX version of the TV SDF-1 in 1/3000??? I know 1/1800 would be too much to ask...but 1/3000 should be doable for either of them.....
