Bandai HMR should release the TV GBP...as hinted at here....multiple insta-buys assured... Then release the GBP-1A "Ai wa Nagareru" edition as a Tamashii websclusive......mutiple insta-buys....at least from me!

So in July 2017 we PO'd this 2 pack..... I could go for this 2-pack for 2018....

If there ever was a candidate for a Tamashii websclusive....that blue Phalanx would be it! Make it happen Bandai! Although at this point....a final 2018 PO for a websclusive Tomahawk or Phalanx would be welcome news....

HMR King of the East?

Probably just as canon as the Cavaliers and Alaska Base VF-1's....they just haven't had a shot at a toy release yet....except for the Cavaliers...these "blink and you miss them" mechs all deserve a release in toy form... I would need to check my lineart books but I think there is lineart for the alternate Phalanx.... Non-canon in my opinion would only include obvious errors like the infamous Robotech YF-1R or goof-ups from StarPro...and the Orguss-1A, which was purposefully drawn as an easter egg/joke.... The color variations above to me are valid and canon....makes sense to me that not all Phalanx and GBP's would all be painted the same...

It's a shame none of his Macross the First work was included in Mikimoto's most recent collected character works book

Mikimoto's latest Macross character designs from Macross the First are way better than his 90's stuff....but still not as good as his original SDFM stuff...

I really do not follow any other anime series other than Macross......but do other character designers change their style as often as Mikimoto? It seems he tweaked his style with each new Macross series or project he was involved in as the character designer.

I'd buy a see-through HMR VF-1 or 1/60 Arcadia VF-1........ But then again, I'd also buy that chrome Arcadia VF-1S teased a while back....

I suppose even the appreciation of original vintage Macross keshi and vinyl toys could be considered an acquired taste...

Hopefully they do the right thing and not make the missile effects a separate purchase. Looking forward to see what their 1/72 line is like....that could be another wallet drainer

We need a second interview request with Mr. Oreska to find out where this HM-R thing is heading to next.....and find out if the 1/35 VF-1, 1/1800 SDF-1 and DX VF-1will ever happen!

So is Bandai done milking the VF-2SS HM-R mold after the Nexx...or will we get Tamashii websclusives of the Faerie Squadron 'yellow"....and the "green" version to conclude the run?
