If you really don't want them, I suggest you sell them now and get what you can. The prices peaked and have nowhere to go but down. There are not enough collectors interested in these to drive up prices anymore. Even the rare and exclusives no longer sell. For example, the Macross Chronicle 1/48 Weathered Strike VF-1S Hikaru is by most definitions a holy grail....yet the collector interest is just not there for the 1/48 Yamato VF's...it is an example of rarity not equating to desireability....thus the declining market prices for it and all other 1/48's. To make matters worse for you and others on the fence with these specific collectibled......what do you think you could sell your 1/48th's for when the 1/35th DYRL Anniversary Ultra DX comes out next year? In short.....keep them if you like them....dump them if you really don't...

I'm in on the 35th anniversary HMR, but just out of support for the line......really hoping there is way better coming from Bandai in celebration of SDFM's 35th...

may as well wait until eBay gets flooded with Macross KO stuff and they can't shutdown the auctions quick enough.... I wonder how much eBay loses from Chinese scammers?
-
Heck no, that's insane! Everyone knows it's one to display, one to keep MISB, and one "just in case"! (Say hello to my little friend...Justin Case!)

Even the worst valkyrie looks good from a "certain point of view"....

Isn't Gerwalk mode the most Macross specific of all modes.....it is what differentiates a Macross VF from other variable vehicles....at least when it was first introduced....before all the copycats.....It seems transforming mechs went from vehicle to robot mode...no in-between mode....but yeah I still prefer fighter mode!

Was wondering when someone would add this bittersweet disaster.....I guess you actually have to own one or have owned one to even consider adding it to your list of least favs... I consideted it, but it looks good as a static display piece and who else is going to have the ballz to release one in 1/60....fills a void well enough for that scale....it's funny how they are still available at many web shops but no one wants to liquidate their stock.....looking straight at HLJ....Black Friday is coming...again!

I don't think there is anything to worry about, in terms of additional customs fees, if you are in the US

Most Favorite: 1) Takatoku Macross line...especially the henkeis! The toy company that kicked it all off......'nuff said... 2) Bandai HMR Macross line....every single one and all future releases...no other way to get a full set of "in-scale" friendlies...and enemies!!! And they happen to look great! I mean seriously....we are getting this!!! A perfect homage to the original Takatoku Macross collection....HM-Respect!!! 3) Yamato V2 Macross line......What can be said about this legendary line that hasn't been said already.....I am 99.999% sure that no other toy company will ever release as "complete" a selection of VFs that encompass the entire Macross franchise......Yamato was so close to releasing at least one version of every VF spawned out of Kawamori's mind at the time they were still in business....I collected Yamato....Arcadia, you are NO Yamato! *4) Yamato 1/48 VF line......I feel I have to include these....SIZE IS EVERYTHING! (well, unless you are an HMR) Least Favorite: 1) Most Arcadia VF reboots.... 2) Bandai V1 VF-25 line......what a waste......but at least Bandai learned a valuable lesson.........their Macross customers are forgiving and have deep pockets? 3) Yamato V1 1/60 line....except GBP (like the bruiser look of it).....They were awesome at the time....but unlike the venerable 1/55 "chunky monkey"....have not aged-well and do not get much respect (deservedly?).....however, they were the harbingers of the new Macross Golden Age of Toy Collecting....so tip of the hat to them!.......but yeah, they still suck.....

Yamato 1/60 Zentran uniform....41,000 JPY https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n209315412

Thanks....I have enjoyed rotating my collection of valks within it....as a fighter-mode fan, the hangar idea worked best for me... Sayonara concert!.... but, yeah....moving soon....but I am also considering going all-out HMR with it...but need more 1/100 accessories....tough to find....1/72 worked well for the 1/60....but they are too big for 1/100 and the 1/144 stuff is way too small.....the 1/100 Macross factory kit is about the only game in town, but I have no patience, skill or time to build them...I'd pay some good money for a completed set(s).....wish the Chinese could do some KOs! Anyways, if I go HMR, I could re-purpose more of the Chain Bases since the mechs are half the size or less.....I have this in mind with all the destroids coming out....

If trying to recreate the Monsters aboard the SDF-1 during Space War I.....I think one of the three has to be 06.....

That's looks awesome! Especially given this HMR set is more of a hybrid SDFM/DYRL version.....can you make me a Max/Millia set? Seriously, how much? A Max in the exact same scheme, but blue....would be perfect....

Bandai seems to be on course to release their teased HMR versions at some point....probably for the 35th anniversary of DYRL next year....which means Toynami will probably release theirs first..... And in case you haven't gotten the memo.....Arcadia seems to have awakened.....let's just hope they don't follow up with The Last Arcadia.....

Arcadia Episode IV: A New Hope? Yamato VF-1D Virgin Road...MIB....35,500 JPY (last boxed sample went for about 50K JPY) https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/d226996006 I guess the feeling is that Arcadia is "back in the game" and the VF-1D is a big probability....meaning the Virgin Road is within the realm of possibility? In any case, now would seem a good time to fill in some holes in your Yamato V2 VF collection.....

Agreed. Based on how the effects parts mount onto the UUM-7 Micro Missile Pods, that should have been a no-brainer...and an included part....or maybe you can attach one of the micro-missile effects parts onto the HMMP-02 micro-missile launcher? In either case, the King of HMR customs will get working on that immediately....or not!

At some point you just have to move on.... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/40391-have-macross-become-out-of-reach-for-collectors/ But yeah, Macross is still totally worth it for many....probably also worth it to many that don't feel compelled to drop a single penny into the franchise too! http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/38871-macross-collectibles-market-watch-current-auctionstore-sold-prices/ http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/40095-your-most-recent-macross-or-toy-purchase-general-thread/
