  1. In$$$tant equity if you go from "no" box to "a" box..... Like I said....easily $100-200 by just adding a box to that loose VF-1J! Take it and perhaps find a better one later on.....
  2. Yamato 1/48 VF-1A - DYRL Kakizaki type.......12,491 JPY https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u139229715 Yamato 1/60 VF-X Macross Chronicle Exclusive......42,504 JPY https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c598264967 Yamato 1/60 VF-1S Low-Viz.......43,700 JPY https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/247713635
  3. I figure the box alone will cost you another $225?
  4. At this point it would not make any sense for them to release it....but who knows....for a long time the thought was that we would never see their teased GBP sets....but they ended up releasing them and pretty much no one wanted them at that point as the Bandai HMR version was also about to be unleashed.....bad timing for Toynami....always several years too late and several dollars too much....
  5. OK...so maybe I misunderstood....did you mean a VF-1A cannon fodder in a Hikaru TV GBP armor? If so, maybe you were looking at this "catalog" which is actually a furoku from the July 1983 MyAnime mag from back in the day.... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/29270-macross-magazines/?do=findComment&comment=959464
  6. Can you find it here?
  7. LOL...perhaps it was lost in the same vortex that sunk the Chinese cargo ship containing the Toynami Vinyl Glaugs.....
  8. They don't call it MacrossWorld for nothing..... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/41631-item-of-interest-spotted-onebay/?do=findComment&comment=1306531 Old School never gets old!!! BTW, what catalog are you referring to? A catalog with a VF-1A in Hikaru colors would not have included the GBP set, which was only released as a Takatoku branded toy....the VF-1A in Hikaru colors would have been released by Bandai in their Hi-Metal Macross line. Takatoku Toys Catalog circa 1983.... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/34685-1983-takatoku-toys-catalog/ Bandai Catalog circa 1985.... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/43597-bandai-toy-catalog-1985/ Takatoku GBP promo poster from 1983.....

No better time to watch it than after putting baby back to sleep at 3am....not like you're going back to sleep anyway!

What's this I hear.....sh9000 only has one Glaug? Ownership of a single Glaug is not becoming for the King of HMR.....rectify or face forced abdication!
  11. I couldn't find it....maybe closer to release date?
  12. Old news! http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/30860-macross-general-scoopuda-thread/?do=findComment&comment=1338949 Pre-ordered already..... This one also.....should have it soon.... https://hlj.com/product/HBJ61424
  13. I do not mean to raise any unverified concern, but the one thing I have noticed is that none of the valks I own have any yellowing. None are wrapped to the degree you are going for. If anything, I just use single sheets of bubble wrap between boxes to avoid scuffing between boxes. Is there any additional value in sealing a toy for the long term, other than maintaining the integrity of the box's shape? Or will keeping it sealed the way you are showing cause any chemical reactions to "stay trapped" within the box and cause premature damage to the valk?

We will excuse the crudity of this model. You probably didn't have time to build it to scale or paint it. But seriously....excellent work!
  15. More or less....I think mine were stiff so did not want to force them to close all the way.....but they probably can....
  16. No problem.....If you pre-order now....Bandai and Arcadia will even throw in a Blaupunkt!
  17. If you don't stack them they won't bow....but if you do not have the space yours is a good idea. Make sure that you still store them inside another box or you may get an imprint of the cross shape if dust gets on the rest of the uncovered parts of the box.... If you still need to stack them and do not want to place them into another box...maybe cover it so that only the top and bottom is exposed if you do not want to waste too much of the cellophane wrap.
