  1. I remember another 'small company' that would release many VFs in quick succession to arguably their own detriment....just like KC did, at least at the beginning....the difference was this 'other' company's products were arguably better, they did not take anyone's PO money in advance, and would release POs on a timely basis....but in the end they went bankrupt with one final swan song release...Hopefully, the 'Battlepod' is not KC's swan song...because it is the best Macross item they have released to date and points to some great future releases...but also, I do not want to lose my PO deposits!
  2. As I understand it...the listed 'goal' will finance the production of everything in Wave 1.....with that said, at the moment, the only thing that seems to be a go, whether the kickstarter fails or not, is the Gluu-Ger that was sold/advertised with the Standard Regult..the same goes for the other outstanding items like the GBPs/Max Arcade VF-1A's/Max and Miriya Figs (in theory)...if the kickstarter fails....it is possible to still get the rest of everything listed, however, it will be back to the current state of release dates, which even a Palantir could not provide information on to anyone.... If these were to be released individually on their site in the current ways that other of KC's POs have been listed, I would definitely be getting everything....but even so, I would not be placing any POs until my current POs are delivered.... And this is the Catch22 that the majority of KC's customers are in.....support via Kickstarter and have no guarantee that you will receive your items in the dates currently shown or not at all and lose even more money....or do not support the kickstarter and hope to have the chance to buy these items someday or never at all due to KC's perceived lack of demand or KC simply going out of business....either way, due to how long it has been taking to release POs, you stand the chance of losing your PO deposits in any method you decide to send it to them (KC site or Kickstarter)....it's just that by paying into the Kickstarter, you are not just losing a 'deposit/partial payment' you are losing the full price (even if 'discounted') of each item....to me, the decision is pretty simple from a financial perspective.... As a fan of KC I have had my share of likes and dislikes of their Macross items, but with their 'VF-1' line seemingly finishing up and now moving into the non-transforming mecha, they are now back on the positive end of quality and value....so it is sort of bittersweet to have to say 'NOPE' to sending them any more of my cash, at least until they have come through with what they have already sold and told us they will release....if by some miracle they are 600 USD short of meeting their goal on December 6th....I'll consider tossing them the coin...
  3. I think he would have been around when the entire Falcone family was found dead....but apparently he wasn't, at least not onscreen.....but now that a neighborhood block sized hole has been ripped open in Gotham, he probably has no option but to return from where ever Bruce Wayne happens to be....and with that said, if the show still intends to not shown him, it means that the events of the next episode will likely happen within hours of that explosion....it can't be days or weeks later because then it truly would be hard to explain The Batman's vanishing act....
  4. Batman and Bruce Wayne can't be in two places at the same time...maybe Bruce is not in Gotham during the events in The Penguin
  5. The Penguin is really entertaining...IMO best series this year....However, I am actually wondering how the Bat-Matt-verse is even being allowed to exist....IMO it's essentially just a temp money grab for WB while they await the DC-Gunn-verse to release and gain momentum, I think all other non-Gunn DC projects will eventually die probably after a potential The Batman 3 movie, if so, it's just more disposable entertainment that will have no bearing on the new DCU....or is it possible that James Gunn is so confident that his Batman/DC-verse will blow the Bat-Matt-verse away that he is not concerned with the fans inevitable comparisons, potentially saying it is better than whatever he comes up with in the new DCU?....it's a big gamble for WB to not allow the DC-Gunn-verse to try to find it's way without contending with internal competition (let alone external competition) for audience dollars....IMO, the Bat-Matt-verse is hardly any different than what Snyder did...the dark and gritty DC...so I can see the DC-Gunn-verse being a complete counter style to the Snyder-verse and, by default, the Bat-Matt-verse....we'll find out soon enough I suppose if Gunn can 'save' DC...
  6. Received my Macross SDF-1 cap by COSPA....The image of the SDF-1 looks like a TV SDF-1 to me, but the tag claims it is a DYRL cap....either way looks good...
  7. Yeah...I wasn't being too serious on thinking it would be cult movie material....but I am curious to see exactly how bad it is....
  8. At first I thought you were "fixing" my post....now I realize it needs no fixing at all...lol
  9. I recall all the praise the original Joker received....I waited to se it on HBO Max and thought it was a mess.....maybe Joker 2 is so bad it's good....I'll definitely take a look once it's steaming on Max....maybe this movie becomes a cult classic....lol
  10. Just one size....the "shorter" version is part of a BD set and would be difficult to acquire on its own...
  11. A must have book for any Macross reference book collection....
  12. The KC Kickstarter would need to add $4250 each day for the next 28 days to meet its funding goal....I don't belive it is a realistic goal.... I have been told that the Zentradi figures sold via the initial Regult PO's will come at some point and are not tied to the success of the Kickstarter....I have no choice but to take their word on this.... If the recently released Regult is any indication...their NON-TRANSFORMING Macross mecha should be incredible....I really hope they eventually see the light of day....but for now I am in too deep on promised and unreleased KC items to throw more cash their way....I truly hope they can at least get to the figures...with or without Kickstarter...
  13. FWIW....sent them a 'polite' email letting them know that it is difficult for me to support a kickstarter for more items (no matter how great they look) when they have yet to deliver or even update on the release of existing POs....as of now I have the following PO deposits with them with essentially no update on any of them except the Battlepod Artillery attachments (and TBH, that is just based on recent posts that they are being released at some point)... 1/72 MACROSS ZENTRADI-TWO SPECIAL EDITION ARTILLERY BATTLEPOD 1/72 VF-1A MIRIYA & MAX Metal Special Edition with an additional 1/12 MIRIYA figure 1/72 MACROSS ZENTRADI GLUU-GER (REGAULT) PREORDER DEPOSIT X 3 1/72 HEAVY ARMOUR RICK HUNTER- PREORDER DEPOSIT I have asked for release updates on these items and told them I cannot commit to additional PO's until I receive what I already have on PO...or at minimum some realistic timeframe of when they are to be released. I specifically requested the status of the Zentran pilots which were advertised to be included during the initial Battlepod PO....or whether their release is now entirely contingent on their Kickstarter Project meeting it's pledge goal... I doubt they will respond, but I will follow-up if they do.
  14. Well, going by the Regult, all of the other non-tranforming mechs would likely be very good....I hope I am wrong, but I have a bad feeling none of them will see the light of day, unless they give up on this Kickstarter nonsense....
  15. As far as I can remember, I don't think they have teased the Spartan....looks great....would definitely buy all of them if they were to be released "normally"....even by KC's standards of normal release schedules.... As it stands....there is no way I would commit any more money to KC....let alone close to 600 USD for the "possibility" of KC coming through with everything they have listed as a Wave 1 release...323 USD for the Mechs and 258 USD for all figures.... NOPE..... KC has officially gone of the rails of the crazy train!
  16. KC doesn't need a Kickstarter...customers were already giving them money to secure PO's...this worked until they stopped delivering PO items on a timely basis....how will doing the same thing via Kickstarter change this? Also....does this mean they will not produce and deliver on the Regult pilot figs unless there is a Kickstarter that funds their release? I guess I'm out....and can only hope to get what I have PO'd via a deposit at some point....but not feeling very optimistic that will happen before they go out of business.... So if the Kickstarter goal isn't met....they won't release any of what is being shown? Very dissapointing...
  17. In a long line of bad Robotech ideas, this has got to be among the top 3...top 10 for sure! I'm sure HG showed no hesitation in taking Unix's money....but then again I doubt they have ever said no to any licensing request...LOL
  18. Nah...I like some SD stuff when done well....these Unix Robotech toys are being rejected by many collectors because they are just simply terrible looking...
