  1. The "one to open, one to keep MISB, and one for "just in case" " rule of collecting do not apply to Mospeada?
  2. It's anyone's guess on what VF will be covered in the next VFMF book.......perhaps a new VF will be introduced in the new Macross series and they are waiting for the series to be released? Or they could take a VF-break and do an all-Zentradi Mecha volume....
  3. Still collecting.....but the vintage stuff is running dry lately......the new stuff just doesn't supply the same high....LOL
  4. I have the original SDFM albums on vinyl and some cassette tapes ......everything else is bootleg, except maybe the Macross Plus CDs and a few of the compilation CDs....zero guilt about it....I spend more than my fair share on other legit Macross merchandise to make up for it....
  5. Hoping we get a 4th Sortie book soon....getting tired of the modeling archive books
  6. So is the main difference on the 1/60 is that it takes advantage of the removable nosecone feature? Decided to pass on the 1/100 version so far because they took the Toynami route....or based it off an HM instead of HMR...

    HM-R (espect)...
  8. Dunno.....wasn't that the whole the point of that scene? That those partying on that planet were doing so because of their profits from selling weapons to the First Order and the Republic? Sure the Republic is no more, for now, but that just means the "New Rebellion" will need weapons, etc for what Luke Skywalker promises is the "new" war that has just begun... .....30 years from now (probably way less) the franchise will need to get "rebooted" again.......Star Wars seems to be creatively stuck in a loop.......All Disney really needs for this franchise is for it to stay in the public eye to keep selling stuff and keep people coming back to the Disney parks and movie theatres....which is not so bad I suppose....it has so far proven to be a money-train for Lucas/Disney... Let's face it...the whole Star Wars phenomenon will never be repeated in quite the same epic manner that the current one has played out.....there is no way that Disney will sit around for 40+ years waiting for the actors playing Rey, Finn, and Poe to age naturally to reprise their roles as older versions.....they will be digitally aged at some point.....unless Star Wars breaks out of this current loop and truly "kills" everything introduced in 7-9....either way it will need to get rebooted again at some point to introduce "a new generation" of heroes and villians..... The only question is how long will Disney get away with following this playbook? I am guessing forever.... It was fun being on the first ride, I may or may not ride it again once it gets to the last stop (Ep 9).....guess that will depend if my own "next generation" care to board the refurbished versions or not....or if there is nothing else better or more original to watch in the coming years....which lately seems to be quite possible...

Since you have them out, recreate this one....
  10. Are the attached pics the CD you received? If so...SM is bootleg copy
  11. Dunno....they seem to be trying to tug on the nostalgia strings to me.... Old school Imai kit boxart....
  12. Congrats....what was your asking price?
  13. That would be closer to the going market price.....for the -11B/C Yamato VF-11C.........38550 JPY https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w208693721 The last VF-11B was probably a result of a heated bidding war.....next VF-11B auction will either set the new market price or correct it to previous levels which were in the 30-35K range....
  14. Yamato 1/60 VF-11 B.....68,000 JPY https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n255363491
  15. Love auto-extension....wish ebay had it....last bid wins!
  16. Used all my "rewards" last week when the news was leaked....it was funny because other than Christmas or Black Friday....I had not seen a TRU so packed in a while....lots of folks cashing in gift cards and rewards cash.... In the end we'll just have Amazon and Google......and they'll merge into the BnL Corporation....
  17. LOL....if you want dirt cheap may as well wait for the "ubiquitous" KO!
  18. No worries....it looks good for non-mecha figures, which seems to be the main focus....your pics have demonstrated that.....you've probably saved many MW members a lot of money!
  19. The pics with the mecha pretty much ruled this thing out for me......especially for the HM-Rs.....guess we keep waiting for Bandai or someone else to come up with something good....maybe someone can convince KitzConcept to come out with one for that new 1/72 VF-1 line... Can't beat what you can do with a set of chain bases for mecha..... But honestly.....we just want someone to make this one at different scales...all painted and ready for display.....now that would be worth $70+++...
  20. Only saw one config that looked ok enough for Macross..... at 70 a set....I'd need to be able to get at least three of them out of the box.....Chain bases are still the best for mecha.....ideally I would want a Macross specific hangar display....but I don't see getting an "official" Bandai HM-R release....
  21. My only gripe would be the glossy armor....they did that with their SD offerings....makes them look more like toys and less like "adult collectibles".....which seeing that they are based on a 30+ year old cartoon....I'm guessing there will be no kids buying these... I think I'll be supporting KC for now....let's see where this goes.... It's good to see someone finally doing something decent with the Robotech license....

My vote would be for an HM-R Stampeed add-on set next....
