  5. Pic of the cover for VF-31 vs SV-262 mook....
  6. Not really.....the books are published in Japan for Japanese consumption....it would make no sense for a Japanese publisher to give out a free copy to be reviewed in a country where it cannot be sold on the regular market for books....same goes for the toys....
  7. ...That's what you think is all you need....after you get that VF-1 cel you'll want to get your hands on a cel of every hand-drawn VF ever made! Welcome to the cel collector club....all you need to join is moneyTM
  8. The age-old collectors dilemma.... ...buy regular items.......run out of space sooner.........go broke eventually ...buy high-end items.....run out of space eventually...go broke sooner
  9. LOL....the problem with M7 is that it starts so slow.....gets better at the end....only 1/4 left for you....do it! LOL Nice collection....I like the Fire Valk cel!
  10. Usually an oversized cel is used for a scene that the director wants to pan....not as familiar with the M7 episodes so not sure which episode or scene it was used in......time for a rewatch?
  11. Still better....

@sh9000....Pop on one of your VF-1D kit heads onto a HMR SuperO and you have yourself a nice hybrid... You can do it!

At this point I am more concerned about getting a VF-1D done right....it's the only VF-1 type left we haven't been teased with... They can get the trainer and VR out of it.....and maybe a "wedding guard" type if BW ok's it

Where is it? I only see the Defender, Spartan and Monster destroids? HM-R Phalanx.... HM-R Tomahawk...

The N-Ger is the only HM-R left in that pic not to have been released... So let's hope for N-Ger, Tomahawk, Phalanx, and VF-1D for 2019 FB2012 VF-4?

Which is why you should always pay via paypal.....they recognize damage to collectible boxes is important to their customers

    Hi-Metal R

If you paid via paypal.....such damage is covered by their buyer protection services...you basically are looking at about a 30% reduction in resale price if you ever planned to sell it in the future....if you purchased it new and want it replaced or want to be compensated for your loss....I advise you do not open it and open a case with PayPal or your CC.....otherwise, looks like the damage was just to the box....toy is probably OK....for some, if not most, collectors....the box condition does matter and it is reasonable to take it into account as part of the total collectible item....
  20. I doubt any of those reviewers received complimentary anime books
  21. Looking forward to see how that turns out....luckily the only anime I care about is Macross so not too worried about it only being Macross specific. Shawn has wanted to upgrade the site with a sort of online Macross archive/museum. I think between us we have most of every old school Macross item ever made. I think the books and other media were to be included too....but I am guessing as more of a pictorial presentation...with some description of the items...at least for the collectibles....for now I just post items here on the Collector's threads.... If you plan on actually translating the book contents, as well, then that should be very helpful. Not sure if you have managed to gather every Macross publication, if you are missing something let me know. If it is a licensed SDFM/DYRL publication, I probably have it. Same with M7, M+....less so with MF and I think I have what has been released for MD. Good luck on your project!
  22. As a slavish Macross purist....I would expect TV-style hands being the default, TV style canopy, TV style cockpit (looks like it might be, but the pilot fig does not seem to be positioned to be clutching his flight stick so still inconclusive)...for the most part it is and it is licensed as such by Bandai since it is using the SDFM logo and 1982 copyright....pretty sure they will come out with DYRL schemes soon enough....but they will need to adjust the cockpit a bit.... The true test will come when Bandai releases the GBP and Fast Packs....they have released separate FP for their 1/72 VF-1 kit....so they are fully aware of the FP differences between the SDFM and DYRL versions...I am sure they will not get lazy on their flagship DX VF-1....I hope!
