  1. The original TV style for Macross is still my favorite....closely followed by DYRL....I do like his MtF style though more than some of his "elvish" looking work....
  2. Hope it includes lineart too....I have every illustration shown in this pic among several books....but I guess it would be nice to have them all compiled into one book....
  3. His "Macross" style changed for DYRL....and it more or less continued into M2... You answered your own question....artists change their style as their choosing....ask George Lucas....lol
  4. D+ contender for sure....
  5. ...I was thinking more like Yamato... At this point, I was just hoping for one small pilot fig to go with the Regults sold to meet that goal and a 6" inch version like their regular line...I really have no I interest in a bunch of 3/4 inch action figs...
  6. KC shipped my 1/72 MACROSS ZENTRADI-TWO SPECIAL EDITION ARTILLERY BATTLEPODS...hard to say if it's just the parts or the "free" Regults also....the email says partial shipping...but in my account it just says shipped.....this may be my last Macross item for the year
  7. Maybe try Amazon for a cellophane bag with seal in the size you need
  8. You can probably look for the poster on YJA or ebay.... As for book covers...maybe Michael's or Hobby Lobby can help...if anything you can find some clear cellophane to make your own custom book cover...
  9. Or just wait for a 'shocking prices' sale!
  10. As long as they could keep the Gnerl in the same ballpark of scale with the rest of their line, I would buy it....
  11. You must be a glass half full type of person...lol It'll likely never get past those illustrations....but I'd like to be proved wrong...
  12. Meh....I think the odds are so low in ever seeing the Gnerl get made, that KC can add a toilet gimmick and I'd still buy it if it were to miraculously get produced...

  14. Nonsense....Bandai simply pre-yellowed it...
  15. Thanks for confirming...so it seems the Chinese kit company doing the Robotech RPG must be coming up with the names for the Armor types too, as that is when I first saw them receive a name....are there any illustrations for these items that have Zentran writing on them? If so, maybe they are going hard-core and translating from Zentradi....LOL Or maybe these names are coming from the Fanky doujins?
  16. LOL....he is the forgotten old SDFM era illustrator that not many are familiar with and thus often gets left out when going over SDFM era illustrators...he was pretty prolific, but basically did whatever he wanted when it came to the mecha of Macross, think missiles and laser coming out of places where they shouldn't and using non-canon paint schemes, etc....probably no one complained or cared because his target audience (via the various TV anime show mags and books sold at the time) seems to have been the young kids watching the Macross show on TV at the time....
  17. It seems KC subscribes to the Masami Watanabe school of thought when it comes to Macross mecha....in short, anything goes!
  18. The Gnerl does launch missiles....just not how KC plans on implementing....not sure if it would be practical to do it as depicted in the show....still, when not in use, it doesn't seem like it will affect the way the Gnerl should look....although I'm sure when the launchers pop out they will be colored in aqua metallic like how the VF-1 cockpits are painted on their VF-1 line....lol
  19. Them scurvy pirates will probably be as "murderous" as these....
  20. @Seto Kaiba @Seto Kaiba @Seto Kaiba What is the "official" name of this ship in the Macross Universe... I'd have to check my reference books, but thought you may just know off the top of your head....I don't ever recall it being referred to as a Quel-Gulnau...until just recently by the folks producing the tiny gaming kits....but guessing it must be correct and they didn't just make it up...
  21. I'm surprised no one has brought it up to him....maybe he'll double down on the name too!
  22. According to "Robotech" site the Quel-Gulnau is actually this ship.... https://macross2.net/m3/sdfmacross/salvageship.htm
  23. Nice internal mechanics gimmick... The scene where the missiles pop out like that and take out an entire VF squadron was one of the most memorable of the entire series!!!!!!!! Can't wait for the canon metallic green version to be released!!!!!!!!!
