Hey, I was on the right trak with the furoku idea...lol The "Document of Macross" booklets are among the best furokus ever made... Funny, I actually posted the same pic on MW back on April 11th, 2020.....no one said a word about that image back then... https://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/29133-macross-books/?do=findComment&comment=1519174 I wouldn't be surprised if other "never before published" pics from this recent book are also found within those booklets....

The other places that may have some of these illustratios could be the many furokus releases during the SDFM era.... But right now I'm thinking it may be something previously unpublished... As I said before...I think it's time for a new dedicated Miyatake Macross book...

Don't forget those odd books that somehow manage to print rarities....like the Healthy Wings Concert Companion Book...lol

Are you referring to this one? If so...that is one that may be new...there are still some other books, booklets, DVD/BD exclusive books, that I have not looked through...but it does not look like something I have seen before....

Slowly going over the illustrations that just look new to me...some I have found in those old reference books some I have not... I have a feeling that a new Miyatake Macross book is in order...full of his previously unseen "world-building" illustrations for SDFM/DYRL

Super Dimension Fortress Macross Super Encyclopedia by Kodansha It's another "all" about Macross book....is it a "super" encycopedia? Not so much....but neither was the last "Macross Super Encyclopedia"...If you have kept up with some of the more recent Macross reference books, you more or less have seen most of what this book contains...there are some interesting illustrations that may or may not be original to this book, but I'd have to dig out my old DYRL and SDFM reference books (ex. This is Animation books, Gold Book, and Perfect Memory) to be sure....but sort not holding my breath...Anyways...it's a Macross book....well, it's an ALL SDFM/DYRL Macross book...is it a "must have"? IMO, not so much....you'd get a bigger bang for your book seeking out the old TIA SDFM/DYRL books, the Gold Book and the SDFM Perfect Memory... Before I forget....I'd say the biggest disappointment would have to be the laughable amount of FB2012 content....literally a half page!...seriously Kodansha? You literally hyped it up on the OBI and book description....lol Sampling of pics...enjoy!
