Whining, bitching complaining ranting etc is more or less the same.... <_< I said this the other day, I've never seen a fanbase complain so much when they have it so good right now. The stand looks good. I wonder how much it will cost. 3000 yen? 2000? 1000? I'm not a huge fan of the VF-0 in general so....we'll see about that

LOL, it seems that out of all the cheap easily hackable DVD players out there, the one I got was NOT one of them. The Cyberhomes are really easy, but I have a Mintek, 1600, and noone knows how to hack anything but the Macrovision on that one. Ah well, gonna buy a nice region free player anyway come tax season. Since I'm scanning stuff here is the fold out poster that came with the Japanese region 2 version of Macross Plus movie edition. I had to cut copy and paste it together with my scanner software since it wouldn't fit on it. its titled: Macross Plus Movie Edition Sandstorm Picture by Kazutaka Miyatake

and the box itself. The 1st printing(out of print) came in a laser disc size box with the DVD in a jewel case. This one I have is in the regular amaray case.

Do you know anywhere I could find one of those Region-free decks? I've seen that Cyberhome player at Best Buy and Sams Club. I bought one for my nephew. Most Cyberhome(my wife has one that is hacked) and Daewoo DVD( I have 2 that I hacked) players are region hackable.

I'd imagine GAINAX would have some say in the name changes. They don't seem to have a problem with it as far as I know. and wetaworkshop is from New Zealand btw. Whos releasing the movie?

I'm using both a hacked DVD-ROM and a stand alone region free player. The DVD is NTSC. It will work on a standard US TV

I have it. Its more or less the same as the FX. Same features. Same menu. The video/audio quality is close. The only difference really is that the R2 version has the Bandai/Emotion screen and the Toho filmes logo at the beginning. Theres also more of the black screen noise before Britai speaks in the R2 version. When you play the R2 DVD its goes right into the movie unlike the FX version which takes you to the menu. The R2 version comes with two Macross postcards which are used on the backside of the FX DVD cover.

whining- The official sport of MacrossWorld Sorry that isn't whining. Whining is that dumb BS about the velcro missing from the box in that other thread. I was kind of being tounge & cheek about what I said. Yamato will be making a mistake if they release the Max blue Q-rau. Max = low sales.

I like the red Milia Q-rau. Most people seem to like Milia's Red VF-1J. And that paint job is just as "unrealistic" as the red Q-rau. but I wouldn't mind a green one as well. Yamato shouldn't even bother with the blue Max Q-rau. This rule of "well if a Max toy gets released then Milia has to be released too or vice versa" has to stop. They get divorced for crying out loud lol

I like Macross Zero but overall it could be better. The character designs are ugly for the most part and like Renato said the actual cel animation is poor. The backgrounds and the CG look great. The dogfights are fun to watch and the destroid action in episode 3 was pretty cool. I don't like the switching of the cel to CG in the same scene it looks cheap and half assed. I think that might be the worst animated scene in Macross history lol
