Star Wars OT on DVD - Official - Sept 21st
bandit29 replied to Blaine23's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Ack sorrry had the wrong window open. I was ebaying. link fixed. I dunno Star Trek, Xena etc seasons you can usually find for up to half off when they are first released. Xena season 4 just came out and its MSRP is 89.99 IIRC. I paid around 45.00 s/h not included. Granted this doesn't have the hype that Star Wars has but most places discount unless you are Suncoast Star Wars for 50.01 http://www.uln.com/cgi-bin/vlink/024543123415IE.html -

Bestprices.com has the set for 50.01 US but I don't think they ship internationally. http://www.uln.com/cgi-bin/vlink/024543123415IE.html according to their site retail is 69.98 US -
After saying I 'd never buy a 1/60 again I decided to buy the VF-1J with the armor... Got mine today from the Valkyrie Exchange. Overall not bad. The armor stays on fairly well. This armor makes the 1/60 kinda wobbly. Just like the the Super Armor did. I really don't like the oversized hands. They are bigger than 1/48 TV hands..why?

The video is in anamorphic widescreen just like the other boots and the R2s. My screen caps are just shrunk down etc

Wrong spelling of last name and apparrently it also means: Focker ... and Hasford is referred to as Hussell...oh well

So that would be: destroy small business, destroy the American farming industry, sell arms/weapons to future would be terriorists, put more of middle class America outta work, tax breaks to the rich and slow down the economy...ya great... I have weights in my garage. They have boxes on them right now lol -

Let it go. You're love for Arnold is getting rather on the gay side. Plus Arnold hasn't done a good movie since True Lies...about 10 years ago.. Also you can't honestly say Twins, Kindergarten Cop or Last Action Hero were good movies..can you? Anyway why was the Spiderman thread deleted? Not Sci-fi enough like another lame "Why Star Wars is still cool" thread. I like SW but not to the degree some you do. -
Forgot about that one..That bad huh? HHH is the champ? or did he beat HBK? I 'm outta the loop...I was too busy throwing beer cans at my TV after yesterday's disaster otherwise known as the Pocono 500. lol

3 pages of squawking over a TV bit? Let it go boys. You guys are putting more thought into this than the guy who did the rant on TV.

MACROSS PLUS MOVIE EDITION JAPANESE GOOD OR NOT?!
bandit29 replied to isamu-ad's topic in Movies and TV Series
The video for the Japanese R2 DVD is really good. Its clean. Colors are solid. No bleeding. Its not a VHS dump like Mangas. Sound is 2.0. There's no English subs and no chapter search. Its not in 16:9 anamorphic widescreen. Just 4:3 fullscreen. Like the OVAs. -
Wrestling? whats that? other than catching a few minutes of RAW here & there and reading about it online, I've lost interest. I've been a fan for nearly 25 years(being 30 really makes ya fee old some time lol).

why not? I'd pay 500.00 for it lol Anyone from Yamato reading this I AM JOKING Some of us need to learn the art of low balling.... I'd pay 20.00 for the Monster Anyone from Yamato reading this I'M NOT JOKING I dunno I might be in the minority here but this "monster" isn't all that appealing to me. It looks good but I'm just not a big fan I guess. The price will be the determining factor for me.
-
It can't stand since the feet aren't flat and the helmet is non removable. You can barely see her face. I was surprised that Yamato did not paint the face shield blue and call it a day lol.

The Q-rau is the size of a 1/48 but its scale is 1/60.

Finally got to see Megazone 23 Part 1 after all the years of hearing about it...Pretty good. The characters are a little bland/generic but the action and the story are really good. The video on the ADV release isn't too bad considering its age. So how the hell was this turned into the Robotech Movie?
-
I can answer that with a qualified "NO." Robotech merchandise absolutely tanked. Those 12" figures are just a sampling of the absolute C R A P that Matchbox produced for the Robotech line. The 3 3/4" figures were absolute garbage, and came with very few accessories. Most of them couldn't even hold their own guns in their misshapen little hands. The only decent things to appear under the Robotech name were the repackaged Gakken toys (which never even made it to Canada) and the little die cast Destroids from Macross. If there was anyting good to come out of the whole debacle, it's the fact that the failure of the Robotech toy line played a large part in killing the Robotech II project. Ya the Matchbox Robotech toys were pretty awful back then. I owned only a few things. The Invid Scout was decent. The action figures were horrible. I had Rick, Lisa, Roy, Rand and cyclone(that didn't transform). Matchbox did repackage the SDF-1 and joke machines for sale in the US. Never got those...dammit. Had the repackaged Gakken blue Alpha and the 8 " transforming Cyclone. Like most of my toys from the 80's they are long gone...lol
