Well the first GITS movie was a flop in Japan so when the second one was released there it was just billed as Innocence. And in the US, the first movie did well so why not bill it primarily as Ghost in the Shell 2. Both covers are ugly though. I still wonder why no dub was done for the movie. GITS is a fairly mainstream franchise. With no dub you lose sales. Oh and the subs are closed caption. why I dunno unless its a screw up since the French sub track doesn't have them. Example: [helicopter approaching], [Japanese singing], [gunfire] or when someone is speaking [batou] then the dialog. Best Buy had it in yesterday along with Inuyasha movie 2. Bought both.

Wow the Chirico figure and the Scopedog together look bad ass...too bad this will cost me double or so since the ole' lady wants jewelry when I buy this "ugly thing"

No GITS 2 dub that I know about forth coming but the subs on the DVD are close captioned subs. http://forums.animeondvd.com/showflat.php?...rt=1#Post794632 Didn't like the movie that much but I might buy it just for the action scenes with Batou. The story is garbage. I'm sure Samurai Champloo will be at Best Buy. Just about every Geneon release is there. review of volume 1 http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc_reviews/3477.php

I always thought that swap magic couldn't be used for booting up PS1 games/back ups(never worked for me) on the PS2. Isn't there a swap disc for booting up PS1 back ups games on a PS2 available?

The Invasion demo was enough for me. Seemed kinda boring. But FPS are my least favorite video game genre.

As of now, I'm not very impressed with the Monster. It just looks like some dumb knockoff Transformer(yes I hate Transformers). I'll pass on this unless I can get it cheap(ya right). Bring on the VOTOMS Scopedog!!! -
Got mine yesterday. Thanks Kevin. The skull on the right tailfin is slightly crooked. No big deal really. This is the first 1/48 I've bought in about a year.

lol congrats gents I'd like to see Yamato reissue a Hikaru VF-1S. Maybe even a strike armor/vf-1 combo set.

Is this US or Japan? Dunno? Most likely Japan I assume. The DVD box set comes out there in Febuary I think. Only 100,000 yen( $1000.00 or so) . Hopefully a new US version is coming since the original DVD release wasn't that good.

If the NBA thought they'd make more money and gain more exposure with EA having an exclusive liscense, they'd would have made a deal with EA. I'm glad the deal fell through. I'm not exactly thrilled with EA buying into Ubi-soft.

The Official Yamato VB-6 Monster Thread

Yamato got a new president and he doesn't like talking to fanboys. Graham wasn't the only one to get cut off. It probably didn't help that he visited this website once... Ugh the new Yamato president came here? Can he read English? No wonder he cut MW off if he read all the whining that goes on in this toy forum... -
Sigh. Son, when one uses a term such as "gay" or "black" or any other belief system, racial group or social stereotype as a synonym for "stupid", one is insulting that belief system, racial group or social group regardless if one is a member of that belief system, racial group or social group. Now I may be going out on a limb here, but I doubt your chummy gay friends use the term "gay" when describing something they dislike. For example. I almost agree with your post, which stated "Kai's Fire Valkyrie is gay". Is it homosexual? Obviously not, because it ain't alive and has no desire for sexual relations with other mecha. It *is* gay-LOOKING, however as it might fit into a stereotype. The majority of humanity would not be surprised to see Liberace jump out of the thing and cry "it's showtime!". I hope this cleared things up for you. I wouldn't mind knowing why you think I'm an idiot though. Interesting side note: You label these other friends as "gay" because you classify them as different from your "regular" friends which is a whole other kettle of fishies for you to steam over. Don't you look at the quality of the person's character before you look at their sexual orientation? And as for the ScopeDog, I think the thing looks amazing. I am eagerly awaiting Diamond's release... hoepfully by then all the accessories will be out. Thanks for the link, Shag! Don't call me son. And yes I look at the quality of a person's character before their sexual orientation. I dunno what business it is of yours though. My friends are my friends. I don't care about their sexual orientation. But I'll label them gay since that's what they are. They label me straight. Your semantics games are really annoying. anyway....look how big the scopedog is http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?YMT33153

There's an FX release of Macross Zero, all on one DVD. I'll let ya know how that one is when I get it.

Hypothetically they do. As it turns out, the method they implemented is worthless as copy protection. It only ensures that A. you have to pay a license fee to make legal players, B. regional lockouts are enforced on legal players,. and C. it's a pain in the ass to get specific clips out of the show, because the data IS encrypted, but it only stops you if you want to do something besides a straight bit-for-bit copy. I see what you mean. I tried a one of my back ups on a Japanese PS2 that can play DVD+Rs(Pearl White, SCPH 50000 I think) and the region restriction message popped up. And then I tried the backup on a my US launch PS2(30001) which has never been able to play a DVD+Rs and it worked just fine...wierd

I have one of those. Wasn't exactly cheap. Looks nice. I got sick of swaping discs on my flip topped PS2 plus not all games work with that method. I played the Macross game for the first time in a few months the other day. Needless to say I received a few "S" ranks on my missions. lol

This lawsuit is BS but maybe it'll teach McFarlane to make toys that don't fall apart as soon as they are taken out of the package lol

Wow what insight Why do people buy sports games? Gee... I dunno... maybe because professional sports in the US are very popular(except the NHL, Bettman you fool)? Most sports gamers like the realistic quality of the games, new stats, new players, new rosters etc. I'm not a sports gamer but I see the appeal.
-
oh grow up. Stop looking for a conspiracy when their obviously isn't one. So I guess ADV will stop producing Robotrash DVDs too so they don't compete with the new Robotrash show? yeah right. Macross had a good run. These are probably just the terms of HG/Animeigo's agreement that was made a few years ago. But I wouldn't be surprised if HG doesn't liscense the show to ADV down the road. They gotta milk that cow some more. I'll be making back up copies of my Macross DVD set. Funny I thought they'd have copy protection

I always thought Papyrus' NASCAR games were horrible (not that EA are the greatest). I didn't even bother with EA's NASCAR 2005 for the PS2 this year. Most of EAs games don't appeal to me anyway including Madden even though I'm an NFL fan. SNK forever!!! lol On one hand this deal with EA/NFL is a good business and on the other it sucks for consumers and kills healthy competition. Some might say Sega/ESPN are to blame for this. When they released their game for 19.99 that caused EA eventually to drop Madden down to 29.99(from 49.99). The NFL doesn't want to see a product with their name/logos/players/sponsors etc getting discounted and sold for cheap. Like all professional sports(except the NHL lol) they are image conscious. Yes, they're so image conscious that they don't like the thought of NFL games being sold for less than $50, but not so image conscious that they aren't afraid to screw their fans and effectively kill the ESPN NFL series and give EA free reign to make the Madden games as crappy as they want to. No professional sport is afraid to screw their fans. It happens all the time.
