Well they are both steaming piles but Macross 7 wins as the worst. Such a let down for an official sequel. All of my feelings for M7 have been said here already. In some ways Macross II is just a rehash of DYRL. I think they are both tied for worst mech designs of the Macross franchise. I do like the VF-17S from M7 though.

That's pretty much it I think. Sony normally caters to the casual gamer but right now only the hardcore gamer is buying the PSP. I've hit all the stores this week Walmart, Target etc and they all had a few PSPs still there. Anywhere from 3-15 usually. I don't know what they had in the back. At least Sony had enough units to go around at launch and a variety of games that appeal to different types of gamers. Nintendo's DS launch and its lack of games has been disappointing. My 9 year old nephew who had to have a DS at Christmas is complaining there are not enough games for it. *Please note I'm not a Sony fanboy. I own a GBA SP and a Gamecube.*

Did you get the import or US version of Ace Combat 3? The Japanese version was 2 discs with cutscenes/movies. I cracked on Sat. Got Lumines, and Darkstalkers. RR is sold out everywhere for me. Lumines is so fracken addictive it's funny! Darkstalkers....not so much but it's okay. I want RR!!! or GT-something, I need a racing game!!(NFSU and Wipeout don't do it for me.) Good place to get Memory sticks is camera shops. A memory stick duo is a memory stick duo is a memory stick duo. Ridge Racer is pure bliss. I bought Wipeout but exchanged it once I drove around looking for Ridge. I love it. Darkstalkers is awesome. I only wish the load times werent so long. Beautifuly recreated from the arcade though. All the animation is there and looks soo good on the PSP screen. Ridge Racer is great. Awesome. One thing I wish you could do with Ridge Racer(and other PSP games) is the ability to use your own MP3s for the BGM. The load times for Darkstalkers are a tad long but its does look great on the PSP screen. In other Vampire/Darkstalkers news, Capcom is releasing the complete arcade collection(5 games) for the Japanese PS2 in mid-May for around 5000 yen. No problems here with mine and I've been messing around with it since Thursday morning. The PSP is really cool. The screen is awesome. So colorful, sharp and clear. Loaded up about 40 songs, a few videos from Machine Head and Shadows Fall. Need to get some Pantera videos on there next. I also put the Macross 20th Anniversary opening and the opening of Berserk on the PSP. Of course some porn too lol... ah Stacy Valentine.... I bought 4 games for it. Ridge Racer, Darkstalkers, Dynasty Warriors(after I said I wasn't going to buy it...oh well) and Untold Legends. All are really fun and they look great on the PSP screen. The rest of launch games really don't interest me. I was gonna buy Lumines for my wife(since she loves puzzle games) but she wanted Untold Legends instead...go figure. I can understand people's hesitance about system life, dead pixels, etc. Sony 's track record isn't exactly the greatest. My launch PS2 (SCPH 30001)still works though. Probably one of the few...

Lookin' good. Really like the side armor. Always though that area of the 1/48 needed something to fill the gap. At least something is coming down the Macross pipeline.

I guess its to be expected since SC2 was released on all 3 platforms and now SC3, so far, is only being released on the PS2. The other two feel left out and unloved lol. Ah this will probably come out the X-Box and the Lame cube. Console exclusives don't mean much anymore.

No dead pixels on mine. I've read on some other boards that one person had 5 dead pixels... Ridge Racer is really fun. It has some of the tracks from the PSone games. Plus I think some of them are mixed together(half from Rage Racer/half from R4 for example).

My box was sealed with a small piece of tape and there was no plastic flim over the screen. I'm not 100% sure about the battery since I plugged mine right in when I got it. I think it was precharged.

There were around 20-25 people waiting this morning at Best Buy. I wasn't expecting huge lines since its been so cold here(Chicago area). And also its a portable system. If it was the PS3 or another home console I'd expect longer lines.

Got mine this morning at Best Buy at 8AM. They said they had about 250 units. Picked up a 512 MB memory card too. Been playing Ridge Racer and Darkstalkers. Pretty cool. I'll probably pick a few more games soon. No problems to report. The PSP is pretty cool but it is kinda heavy for a portable system.

The Best Buy near my work still doesn't have any games out. I went back to Walmart and they had even more games than the night before. Picked up Ridge Racer. They had Wipeout Pure and pretty much every other launch game there.

I'd expect porn on UMD to start showing up REAL soon. As for getting your own porn, it depends on the format. It IS possible to rip a DVD and convert it to mp4, but it'll be easier if you have already have the porn as avi on your PC. Cool. I can hardly wait.
