Well 300 is out in its several versions of media and giftsets etc. I bought the Blu-ray version at Target for 24.99. I'll watch it tonight when I get home. I think Walmart and Fry's are around the same price(24.00-25.00). Bust Buy(according to their ad) is 29.99. -

Ya same feeling here about the A.I. of GT. Moving them out of the way is harder than them moving you out of the way. Also I have a hard time getting excited about racing a Mitsubishi or a Mazda...yeah zzz but thats just me. The PS3 demo was alright just not that fun. downloaded the Heavenly Sword demo...wow some pretty sweet moves and graphics....I'm still missing that feedback rumble. Also the demo can be done 5 minutes. After playing this piece of eye candy, I wonder how good GOW 3 will look in a few years.

It appears the Heavenly Sword demo is out. can anyone confirm? I'm not at home right now.

Good idea How is Black Hawk Down on blu-ray? from my other post: Some more blu-ray news for the Kubrick fans http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=348 QUOTE Warner Home Video has announced that the majority of the Stanley Kubrick library is coming to Blu-ray on October 23rd. These titles include '2001: A Space Odyssey (Special Edition)', 'A Clockwork Orange (Special Edition)', 'Eyes Wide Shut (Special Edition)', 'Full Metal Jacket (Deluxe Edition)', and 'The Shining (Special Edition)'. Each will come on a BD-50 and feature a TrueHD soundtrack. A deluxe edition of Full Metal Jacket already. The "old" blu-ray is still sitting on the shelves collecting dust lol and where the hell is my Batman Begins and Sin City on blu-ray -

Not yet. I gonna watch that tonight. I'm kinda meh on MGS4. I really can't stand Kojima. His kind of "directing" removes the gamer instead of immersing. He's kind of a hack imho. He'd be perfect for anime.

Ya I got the 5 free deal from Amazon..but I didnt send it in yet. lazy lol. Not sure what the turn around is yet. IIRC, the promotion just started July 1st ends in Sept? I haven't read anywhere of people receiving the free movies yet. I did get a free Resident Evil 2 Apocalypse on Blu-ray also....eh that I that think will be ebayed. They remote is on its way. ya the PS3 is really heavy. You could probably knock someone out with it. did 1.9 update last night. Some nice new features. Played the Gran Turismo 1.2 demo...meh its ok. Kinda boring compared to Burnout lol ya j/k Looks impressive though.

Ya thats kinda my thoughts on old movies in Blu-ray or HD. Something old like "A Clockwork Orange"..you really can't improve it that much. Its old. I've seen alot of old movies in HD on satellite and they really don't look that much improved. Usually they look too grainy. With Blu-ray, I'm gonna just buy(rebuy) movies that 1) I really love and 2) that really benefit from being in HD. I mean I love Goodfellas and Donnie Brasco but I don't think I need them on Blu-ray. Now of course, if the prices come way down, then we'll see lol But like Js said, alot of movie studios are dumping out movies in Blu-ray with subpar codecs just to have something on the market. Only to re-release a new version later. Reminds of when DVDs started. Alot of those were taken from LD masters only to be re-released later. Interview with a Vampire and Total Recall to name a few.

Cool. I'll have to update when I get home. So far, so good with PS3. I've been having a good time with it. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is really tough jeez..Might pick up NASCAR 08 this week. I watched Pirates of the Carribean 1 & 2 on Blu-ray. I was really impressed. Until the prices come down, I will only rebuy movies that I really love. How is Sleepy Hollow on Blu-ray? I've read mixed reviews. 300 comes out next week yeah!! The PS3 does a pretty good job upconverting regular DVDs. It does a much better job than my Samsung. If only the PS3 could be region hacked and display PAL DVDs too. One thing the PS3 doesn't do well is layer change. Every Sony DVD player I have owned has been bad at this. Oh well.

My nephew has Wii. Its fun. I like it. The old downloadable games peak my interest too.l I might buy one for myself eventually...if I could find one around here...jeez. You'd think in the Chicago area you'd be able to find one. I think the Wii has crossed over. I usually see girls or women buying games when I'm out. And not ugly ones. I saw some hot girls buying games yesterday. I was like "man where were these girls when I was growing up" lol

Finally got a PS3. Amazon had a good deal(free remote plus RE Apocalypse Bluray and 5 Bluray movies) plus with price reduction..why the hell not. The movies I'll probably ebay lol I got Ninja Gaiden Sigma and the Darkness. Both are pretty cool. I'm surprised I liked the Darkness since I suck at FPS's. Never had an Xbox, so NG is a new experience for me. Downloaded a few things, Tekken 5 DR, Castlevania SOTN , and a few demos. Suprisingly Tekken 5 DR didn't take too long to download. 555 MB file, 1-1/2 hours over DSL. Granted I plugged right into my DSL modem instead of my router(which I think is fried lol) So far, me likey. Except for the light controller and lack of rumble. Playing Burnout Revenge or Dominator without rumble is lame. I'll have to get one of those PS2/PS3 USB adapters. Also thoughts on the intercooler? Yay or nay? Would I be better off with just a small fan? My PS3 is in a entertainment center.

Cool trailer. Some good ole' fashion violence. But if I saw grandpa Rambo coming I'd laugh. I'll check it out though. I liked the first Rambo movie alot, second one was alright, the third movie was a crapsterpiece.

I know some of the film has been shot downtown(Chicago) already. From what I read in the local papers, they be leaving here soon to shoot in London and then back here to shoot more later this summer. Hopefully the bums downtown won't get freaked out again..last time they attacked the Batmobile.. they thought it was an alien ship
