  1. A $200 Regult Toy...
  2. Even as much as I love the Monster there's no way in hell I could swing $2000 on that. I'll still hold out an impossible hope for a $500 version.
  3. What I'm still a little confused about is why nobody was allowed to take pics of the prototype VF-17 or Blazers. We had a years worth of proto-type pics of the VF-19 Kai and nobody seemed to have issues. Now we've got to sneak around and photo shop CAD images instead.
  4. The calves actually look a little thicker than I expected too.
  5. You know I would argue Yamato tested the waters with the Destroids people wanted the least. Maybe not so much with the Tomahawk, because I'm a fan of that one (and you get the Battletech bleed-over people as well) but... the Defender? I don't know anybody who's a BIG Defender fan or just HAD to have one. I already mentioned the Tomahawk having a small fan base though still not really that big, I know LOTS of people who love the Phalanx and I've never met anyone Macross or Robotech related who didn't absolutely want to own a Monster. Maybe Yamato didn't focus closely enough on the favorites? Especially the Monster, that's in it's own category really.
  6. That would be my dream destroid. That one I imagine would be at least $500 though.
  7. Yamato has already taken the stance that the VF-19's with the missiles in the legs won't have fast packs because the two gimmicks interfere with each other so the Blazers are guaranteed to not have them as well. It's probably way beyond wishful thinking on my part they'll even attempt them for something like the P.
  8. I was hoping having them removable would also mean there would potentially be a spot to attach fast packs instead.
  9. Because it's likely the only versions of the VF-19 with the longer wings (because some of us don't like the stubby F/S versions) we'll ever see were flown by Basara and both Valks are non-standard for one reason or another. Some of us find the colors on his McValk ghastly and unappealing but this other version is almost perfect except for the odd fins. If they were removable we'd have an excellent looking VF-19 with the longer wings and it's a far easier modification then attempting to repaint a bright red Valk.
  10. I think the smartest thing would be to include the gun pod. If you want a Basara Valk leave the gun pod off and the speakers on. If you want a generic military valk remove the speakers, add the gun. Want to be different? Leave one of the speaker fins on, put a cocktail umbrella in the hole for the other spot and arm the Valk with a hot dog.
  11. It's another goofy-ass slighty-but-not-quite-a-normal-looking-VF-19 piloted by Basara.
  12. There are those of us who love the basic mold of the fighter but weren't too keen on the clownish nature of Kai's paint scheme/design but would still like to buy one in support of Yamato. This design is almost exactly what we would want except for the wonky fins, another Basara special. But if they're removable that makes this pretty ideal for most of us who like the 19 design with the longer wings.
  13. There's a sizable contingent of us who hope the speaker pods are removable.
  14. I'm also hoping removable fins means a chance for Fast Packs too.
  15. I don't think any of us can say for sure but many of us told Graham that if they made a P they should design it so that the shoulder pods could be removed. At the very least they should be able to swivel because they turn perpendicular to the shoulders when in Gerwalk (and can in Battroid) so likely they would be removable too. I'm hoping they will be personally.
  16. Whales can only hear music if the speakers are shaped like fins...
  17. It's nice to know a release date but... of all the things to take pics of!?!
  18. Just be sure your ISP doesn't have bandwidth caps. That can bite you in the ass mid-month when you run out of bandwidth due to online backup and can't access the internet anymore.
  19. The thing is DC has always essentially attempted to have one all-encompassing universe which has never worked out well for them. Marvel has made no qualms about saying this can be in one universe, this can be in another one, we reserve the right to choose and you reserve the right to enjoy the portions of it you want to. Technically reboots are done so new readers don't have to get the back-story on eighty years of character development/plot.
  20. I actually don't feel like it's a "compromise." It's about the only realistic way to do it and I'm fine with that. How can you tell from the CAD? It's so small.
  21. I honestly have zero problem with the wings being a little longer. I still think the Battroid in that CAD looks pretty damn beefy and menacing.
  22. Know what, I was looking at the picture incorrect. The seam I was looking at was actually part of the "bell-bottom" and not the seam across the calf. I was wrong.
  23. Except the bottom half of the calf, part of the portion that opens, is sticking out and it's black. I'm only referring to what's in the picture. It could just be place holder, and the whole thing isn't visible. I'm only referring to what can be gleaned based on the picture and the colors visible. Personally I'd be happy if they closed that off, included a magnet and allowed some fast pack attachments instead. But we don't really know either way.
  24. Based on the photo all of the black portions are reused parts and the portion of the calf that opens is still in black. They only highlighted the small upper portion in white indicating a change up there. Doesn't mean they won't change it but that's what the photo seems to say right now.
  25. It's possible they've got another gimmick or engineering idea to assist but I wouldn't be let down if it looked just like the CAD.
