I had to push the arm pretty far in, and relatively hard, before it would click and stay in place. I'm not telling you to force it but it may just be really stiff and hard to lock in place. It took me quite awhile to get the arm to lock.
-
Well, if it is discontinued I'm glad I sprung for a third C so I can display one in each mode. It's funny though, after getting the VF-19S (despite my issues with the crappy ankles) the 11 feels really cheap and old compared to how seemless and elegant the 19 is put together and transforms and handles.

What do you mean by "lock?"

Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force

Ignoring the BRIGHT yellow stripes, I kinda like the fact there aren't markings because it makes it look more stealthy. That being said for $300+ they could have tossed us a bone and I know more than a few of you want it to look exactly like the show version without having to slap decals on it. -
Wow, Fed Ex dropped off my box today. From Anchorage to Memphis to Albuquerque in less than 12 hours!
-
Does anybody here usually ship by FedEx from HLJ? I've noticed that most of the time my packages arrive through someplace like San Francisco and only take three days to be delieverd. However sometimes they seem to go through Anchorage, which is murder, because it takes an extra week to be delivered. Has anybody else had this happen?

I'm just saying I'm not holding out hope. FB2012 wasn't even a full show, to say nothing of it being popular. It seems like a long shot Yamato would even bother with it. We would be happy to have it but I doubt they would be happy losing money on it. -

Can't wait for the ship date. I hope the ankles on this one are more kind to me then on my 19S. In other news, while next year is 2012, I highly doubt they're going to make a VF-4. Yamato is on a M7 kick and they've already hinted at a possible MAXL. I'm willing to bet that's a lot more likely. If they made me eat my own shoe and prove me wrong I'd be truely happy but until I see the announcement I'm going to be more realistic and go with another mac 7 mold announcement. -

That's good information to know and I didn't notice that before but I'm not sure that's the issue people are having concerning "gaps." There's a lot of different types of gaps people could focus on. I was curious which gap in particular people were having issues with. -

There's a lot of forest missing going on here. My comment in particular is about the fact the way the thing is designed makes for a funky looking Gerwalk. That's it as far as gappiness is concerned. It was merely an observation. -

I realize i just went on about Gerwalk being "gappy" but what sort of "gappiness" is it you're concerned with? -

This pic right here highlights the type of "gappiness" I was talking about. It's like it's not even a unified single section anymore. And it's right across the mid-section. It's very odd looking, even as Gerwalks go. -

Because he explained it clearly in a way I could not. -
This is interesting/cool. I understand why it would be that pricey however I'm not sure I could go for it for something like the VA-3. That's a lot of money for something that isn't very high up on my want list. I'd like to see the finished product when you're done though.

Thank you Jenius. That was a far better description then what I was able to express but it's exactly what I was thinking. I think I speak for all of us when I say I hope you have a cat named Santa. ;0) -

But it is a consistent traight line from the wings to the shoulders. On the 17 and 25 there's big gaps where the shoulders folded in that breaks the consistency. -

My only problem with the design, and this is a Kawamori thing, is that the placement of the shoulders makes the Gerwalk mode very gappy. The VF-25 suffers from this a little too but not nearly as much as with the 17's linebacker-like shoulders. -
Well, my buddy Kevin doesn't have a lot of money plus he's got a few kids to take care of so I'm always on the look out for cheaper Macross stuff for him. Every time he comes by he pours over my Yamato collection so I know he wants some of this stuff. I'm not going to tell him how much I paid for the 19S when he comes over to look at that. It'll make him weep.
-
That was a good price. Between the hour I sent the link to my buddy and the time it took for him to look at it they sold out.
-
I caved and bought my third 11C... my bank account is going to hate me!
-
I've never tried deploying it in Fighter but I think it will work. I can't think of a reason why not. I only have 11C's but the escape pod has never been loose enough it would fall out of either of mine. I'm not sure how much force you're rolling these things with either.

That's a bummer you can't afford these things. So far I've been lucky. We'll see how long that holds out. In other news, I'd be all over a lot of the Macross Capital Ships. I know they would never get made though. I really like the Northampton Stealth Frigates too. However if they were kept at 1/3000 scale they'd only be a little over three inches or so compared to any of the Macross Class ships at 1/3000. Uruga's too... seven inches though. -

Do you have the Sound Boosters attached to the Kai in Gerwalk? I was told they wouldn't attached in Gerwalk mode. -

While Yamato is on this Mac 7 kick what are the odds of seeing a Battle 5 or 7 being made too? I imagine zero, but it would still be cool (as would an SDFM styled/colored SDF-1.) I wonder if Yamato didn't already design the Vf-17 with the intent if it sells well there's very little that needs to be changed in order for a 17T to be made. They've already hinted at the possibility of one coming out so you know you've thought about the idea. As long as the transformation was designed with the intent it could accommodate the longer nose I'm willing to bet it could happen. The hinted at VF-11MAXL is the one I would imagine wouldn't happen at all because it's a whole new design and can't be milked at all. -
