DAMN! That's $90 more then I paid!

So I wonder if Bandai is frightened to release anything that isn't Alto/Ozma related and that's why we're seeing an Alto colored 171 or if even seeing a 171 means Bandai is willing to pull the trigger on the lesser popular valks/characters and we'll be seeing a Michael and Luca 25 sometime soon.
-
I've wondered this myself. I've never bought anything from them personally either. But they do have EVERYTHING that's been announced in the last few weeks up for pre-order and it's getting more and more tempting to start putting money down.

What kind of texturing are you going to do? I could see some of the interior needing texture work but the exterior looks about perfect as is now.

Damn, ishop2go lists things quick!

Another consideration. I wonder how these ankles will behave/work/hold up versus the Yamato versions on the 17. These ankles will be a lot more similar to the 17/19 then the fancier 25 ankles are.

Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force

I wonder how stable the back of this thing will be with the packs attached in Gerwalk? I've always felt that back portion was a little tedious on my 17S. With the extra weight I can't see how it won't sag a little bit... not that most people care about this things Gerwalk anyway, but still. Unless the fast packs happen to be super light. -
I am very curious to see how Bandai makes this different, particularaly how the crotch section transforms versus Yamato's 17. Since the transformations are largely the same. Also how the backpack attaches and if they'll have to have covers for the hands in fighter mode as well. Their old 17 and Yammies new 17 had to have them and it's hard to see how they really could do that different, especially on a version of the valk that's skinnier/smaller then its counterpart. I'm also curious to see how the back of the thing is held up in Gerwalk. I kinda feel like the Yamato one is not as stable as it could/should be. Based off these images here I'd say fighter mode is going to be the real winner here. Gerwalk i'd have to take a closer look at. Based on the two images of Battroid I think Yamato's 17 looks superior but I need a chance to play with this new one first. If it turns out it's as fun to pose (if not more so), possibly more stable then the 17, I may change my mind.

I figured this would have to be their next release. To be honest the 171 looks better in CF colors in my opinion.

Dang, why won't Yamato make a SDFM version of the SDF-1. That model of yours looks so cool. I'd love a fully transforming 1/3000 version.

If I could privately fund you I would. I've been dying to see just a finished VF-1 from you for a year now, to say nothing of an entire fleet.
-
Maybe it's a way to lessen cost? GA also seem to know something about the VF-4 as well as the CAD images are all being reprinted via GA.

Sounds like you need a new girlfriend.

Maybe, but the first one is a much better story then Frontier.

I don't have the First because I can't read it and don't have the time/drive to learn Japanese. The pictures look pretty but that isn't enough to justify me spending money on it. I just like to come here to hear people repeat as much of the updates/changes as is possible. To learn it 100% correct this is true, however it's one of the easiest to untangle if/when the grammar is incorrect. Either that or English speaking people are far more tolerant/patient when it comes to understanding foreigners who might not completely grasp the language and we will take the time to make it make sense. Either way, you won't get that level of commitment from someone in France and I've never had any Japanese people give me the time when I was attempting to learn it back in College.

Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force

So does that mean if we enjoy Goa we're all drug addicts? Because I've never done a drug in my life and this track isn't that bad. -
ishop2go appears to put EVERYTHING that's shown at a trade show up for preorder. They also have the Cavalier up already too.

Wow, that half-eye kit is blocky... Can't wait to see how this 3D model turns out.
-
The only problem with that analogy is the VF-171 didn't only appear in a twenty minute music video for four seconds. The 171 is prominent, Hell, the 171 actually has a hero paint scheme too.

Doesn't that technically mean you could leave the leg packs attached under the wings in Gerwalk mode too? That would make it look a lot different and you could always pretend it's a different/special configuration that way. It may not hold that weight up all too well with all of the packs connected but it still might look interesting. -
Is there any news on this project? It's been almost a month. I'm very interested in the engineering required to make this thing work.
-
Well if we want to stay on topic I hope they get around to showing us Michael, Luca and a CF (no chance in hell) sometime soon because I want all three of those (and will buy the two that will actually exist.)
-
I think the show overall works better as a marathon like the lead up to the second half of season two. Week for week the episodes do seem really slow and leave you wanting. Watching back to back this Sunday I found it far more enjoyable. It's the type of thing you want on a BR/DVD set to sit and watch in a go on a snowed in weekend or something.
