  1. March 6th was my preorder date.
  2. It's not even that it's ugly, which I feel it is too, but it isn't at all a VF-1S scheme. The 1S had BLACK, not grey. And adding some yellow stripes doesn't make it anywhere near being a 1S. It's just a gaudy, quick repaint.
  3. Good Lord. I just tried transforming my second 171 tonight. Putting this thing back into Gerwalk/Fighter has been a colossal bitch. Pressing the chest piece back down has been insane on this thing. It's like the two diecast bars are ever so slightly too far away from the center and every time I close the chest piece all the way the two little covers that flip out for Battroid will literally fly across the room. I got hit in the face by flying covers more than once. I did not have this problem with the first 171. This second one has MUCH better hold on the wings though. Tighter hinges on the back too. Interesting how different each of these can be.
  4. Well color me wrong about them selling those packs separate. I didn't think it would happen after how rare the VF-1 packs are.
  5. I just pull the wings off, do the transformation, then put them back on. It's easier that way.
  6. It's like serving one of those $1 single serve pieces of cake to a room full of people. You cut it in half and that's pretty much it. The rest of you can f**k off.
  7. Thanks. I couldn't find it on Youtube. I found a lot of other ones.
  8. There are already a lot of people who won't buy one at more than $300. Unless there's a miraculous turn in the US economy I'm willing to bet many people are going to be disappointed... or eat their words come purchase time.
  9. Okay, poor choice of words. It may rot in a warehouse while they sit up at Yamato's website. Same thing really. Nippon-Yasan seems to think they'll be selling them right now.
  10. I think eyesonme is correct. Why would you laugh at that? The VF-4 only showed up in a twenty minute music video from twenty five years ago. Whereas the Frontier stuff has been ALL OVER Japan the last four years. Obviously there's going to be a big rush domestically as well as internationally. Just because the long time fans like us want the VF-4 doesn't mean the rest of the world is clamoring for it, remembers it or is even aware of it's existence in the first place. Now the whole webshop exclusive is a pain to order from but that doesn't mean it's going to disappear off shelves in four seconds like all of the Renewal Valks have.
  11. Considering jenius seems to be very in the know about Bandai's Macross stuff (he even knew about the 171 and claims it was developed BEFORE the 17 in his review) perhaps one of his contacts would know why Bandai are being pricks about their Macross releases?
  12. If it's any consolation Nippon-Yasan was sold out of 171's eventually as well but they've already got more stock in right now. So perhaps that will be the case for those of you still looking to get this "1S" scheme as well.
  13. Where is this transformation video? Know what's interesting, I went back rewatched some of the battle scenes from Frontier. The armored VF-25's looks great on the show but I really can't stand the way they look on the toys at all. On the other hand I don't feel like the 171 looks great in the show at all but this one I have sitting in front of me in Battroid looks totally awesome.
  14. AND the VF-0? Reaction Armor??? You're killing me dude!
  15. So did they get accepted this time? Are the wing adapters and missiles available now? I've been waiting for these things to finally be done.
  16. Oh Wow, they're adding more stock? I was going to ask if anybody around here was still looking for a 171 who REALLY wanted one but couldn't get it.
  17. I personally don't see how this is a VF-1S scheme. I was curious about this but it's easy for me to not care now.
  18. Have you e-mailed them about it?
  19. Somebody said they took their pins out and switched which hole they went in and they held more snug afterwards. You might give that a try.
  20. I only mentioned where the thigh would be based on some comments earlier on in the thread where someone was speculating the thigh would fold back into the calf like one of the garage kits does. It would be nice if they had a sliding panel to cover that gap in the calf but I'm not holding my breath.
  21. You know what, I don't think I've even "swung" the hip bar on my 171. It just wouldn't move but it's stable enough that it doesn't matter.
  22. I think battroid looks awesome to I guess that isn't true. In other news, i was looking at all of those new shots and I think despite the crazy engineering involved to make everything work that the transformation on this thing is going to be relatively easy. That gunk in the middle of Battroid looks intimidating but with the way all of the surfaces line up a few pegs/holes/whatever should be relatively easy to line up. I guess that depends on how Yamato approaches the design though. Also, the legs are definitely going to be housed in the fuselage and not just flip up into the legs like some have speculated. You can clearly see the gap about mid-calf in the Gerwalk photos where the thigh will protrude from. I wonder if they'll provide leg covers like on the 19 since the back of that calf is going to be GAPING, though it was pretty much left open on the lineart as well. At the very least some sort of mechanism to cover up that mid-calf gap (or extra pieces.) The hands do have the "trigger finger" built in. That doesn't mean it will be coming with a gun pod (I'm betting it absolutely won't" but if you feel like pilfering one from an extra VF-1 I'll bet it holds that gun just fine.
  23. Looks like I'm going to have to dig up another VF-0 as well. Way to cram all of this between renewals/17's/19's/4's Kurisima... ;0)
  24. The reason why gunpods are included standard is because those other Valks used Gunpods. The VF-4 does not. It's guns are stored internally. Why expect one this time?
