Where is that going to attach to the 11? It looks like a similar idea I've had for wing mounted missiles on the VF-19.
-
And it looks like an ES-11D Cat's Eye too.

That is an extremely lighter shade of Blue. That wasn't the case in the animation was it?

So how do you explain all of the knock-offs?
-
I plan on doing this with the 171 if both of my orders come in too.

It looks like they darkened up the blue to make it better reflect the animation colors.

Yamato uses final pictures of the actual products on their boxes, not sketches. You can't base anything on the fact they have a mocked up image on the box with a drawing right now. It appears they've focused on the central portion, for purposes of getting fighter/battroid correct and haven't bothered with the legs/wings yet. Perhaps once they get to the wings they will realize the angles need to be adjusted. On the other hand maybe the canards need to be steeper in order to accommodate transformation. We don't know right now and we're seven months out so there's still a chance things will be adjusted. The nose wasn't as curved when we first saw pics and now fighter mode fans are happy with that so there's still a chance.

They still sell them on ebay... for exorbitant prices. You're likely to only find DYRL versions as well. TV versions are extremely rare.

Like I said, fighter and gerwalk look good with the packs. Battroid, the leg part seems kinda smallish and doesn't really sit on the calf all that well. You can't even see the backpack portions.

You're right, they do have a torso example up there. I wonder if anybody snapped shots (or if they're allowed to.)

I agree cheng, that nose does look a little too "needle" which was always one of my complaints about the garage kits as well.

It's like Max or Kaki's paint schemes on their 1A's only green.

You're right, these things are already pushing $300. With the packs that means they're likely $320 to $350 now.

I'm looking forward to your wing missile attachments.

Weren't we told the Super Parts were coming in August/Sept? If they're now bundled with the 17D does that mean the 17D is also due around that time as well?

Upgrade parts? Am i going to need to get a fourth C now?

I must be confusing one form of "massage" for another...

Interesting. Based on the box art there I think Fighter and Gerwalk look pretty good with the packs but Battroid is so chunky they almost look obscured.

Has Yamato ever released a box with a hand drawn image before? That seems like a temporary design until they can get a full painted toy put in place of that drawing. Maybe it will still be the same scheme which doesn't offend me in any way though the cream colored nose is pretty much the one to get for all the Hikaru fans.

Unfortunately the 11C's have a problem with the gunpod sitting crooked. I have three of them every one of them has this issue.

Small bag in the bottom of the box.

Sometimes while projects are still in development the product can look far more advanced/futuristic then final, streamlined production versions.
