...aww. I saw you had replied and thought we'd be getting an update! LOL

Marking's on different squadrons don't all have to go in the same spot.
-
Sooooo... more pics of this mode please? It is the least represented around here.

To be honest the Chronicle Colors are not nearly as appealing.

My Cav is really taking it's sweet time getting here. Only barely cleared customs today.

Thanks. I really like the way that's turned out.

Repaint of an Older Armored Yamato 1/60 VF-1J
Mommar replied to Project YF-67's topic in The Workshop!
Damn, that thing is bad-ass. If I had the toys/skills/time/patience I'd have attempted a pair of 1J/1A's from the Operation Bullseye entry a few pages farther in the Master File book on 41 and top of 43... or I suppose top and bottom of 47 as well. -
What paint did you use for that finish?

My brother and I used to make fake things to blow up with fire crackers too. That was with parental consent. We knew as a general rule if somebody was buying us a toy it wasn't so we could turn around and rip the arm off immediately.
-
I'm just hoping it's easy to remove those shoulder speakers. Then maybe we can work up an easy way to attach other kinds of fast packs instead.

It really depends on the kid. Some are a lot more observant (possibly considered difficult.) Others are perfectly happy to let accuracy slide as long as they're having fun. I also tend to think that if by eight/nine the kid can't play with something without breaking it then somebody has done something wrong with that one.

Hmm. I keep oscillating on these. At first I thought they looked cool. Then I thought they looked too busy. The other day I saw the first Armor Pics posted and thought they looked cool. Today they seem kind of busy to me again. I've never had such strong, changing positions on a Kawamori design before.

I let my friend's eight year old son play with one of my VF-1 Hi-Metals and haven't had any problems with it. As long as the kid has been raised to not break things and is patient enough to let you show him how to transform it once or twice it should be fine.

They weren't in correct on my first one.

There are two white pins that hold the wings in on the bottom of the 171 in fighter. It turns out if these pins aren't turned a certain way they are either loose or actually semi-dislodge the wings from their normal resting place. You might try popping them out and switching which side they are attached to.

X-Men: Days of Future Past, in theaters May 23, 2014
Mommar replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I don't know, maybe it will be fun? First Class wasn't very good. Well, Michael Fassbender traveling around the world killing nazi's was pretty fun... but otherwise, not good.- 329 replies

I'm glad to see somebody put the packs on it. Too bad they're too light colored to look good with it. Cavaliers needs their own special packs.

I got my second 171 from BBTS.

It's not emo because he had a real reason to be depressed, people died because of his actions when his intent was to protect. Granted, Iron Man's wasn't emo either. He went out a did something, he didn't sit around crying and cutting himself.

I'm with ZInjo. Max needs more love (maybe not, how many kids did he have again?)

That was funny. I enjoyed that.

Officially revealed, 1988. Heavily inferred, 1970's. How much of the Macross toy rush have you missed the past year? With the ridiculously low runs on all of Bandai's Valks most of here are actually happy for web exclusives because it means we might be able to buy one, regardless of the price.

Oh, thanks I see it's that model kit. I almost got excited because I thought it was a toy.

The nice thing about this CG model turned real model is we're all getting a glimpse at just how miraculous it is some of these toy manufacturers are able to put out anything we want in 1/60 considering the crazy compromises that have to be made.

Who cares about the option parts? Let's just see the valk already.
