They're flying one with an 11? How many of these survived Space War 1? They're playing fast and loose with this prototype idea huh? (I suppose Zero did as well really considering test craft aren't usually also flown in combat.)

Mine is in customs too but Monday is a Holiday and NM postal service is... poop. So I'd imagine Thursday is more likely for me after the holiday tomorrow.

The shoulder's haven't been problematic for three years now. The original VE-1 never had that issue either.

Wow, it broke? I've had enough problems with the pins that if I transform the toy to/from Battroid I completely remove the wings/pins first so they're out of the way.

And yet it's not released outside of Japan. If it was unenforceable and Bandai would absolutely win a legal battle why aren't they releasing Frontier world-wide then?

Harmony Gold owns the Macross license to the rest of the world. There was no "world wide" audience. Macross can only be shown/marketed in Japan.

Holy crap! What does the "Raw" photo of that toy look like? My Mom wandered by, saw the photo, and asked me if that "toy" I had was actually a real plane based on this "photo."

I could see this being a huge problem. My Ozma's is pretty loose. My Alto is a lot more tight though. I don't care for the super packs or the armor so it doesn't affect me but this is definitely sloppy and I could see it being an issue for a lot of other people who are fans.

I thought the 19A was still in the same body style as the YF-19? The Raven's style wouldn't work on the later body styles. An 11 would look really cool though.

How do you define "low viz? The VF-1 has had three so far between the original 1S low Viz, the VFX and now Cavaliers. Gamlin's 22 is essentially low viz. All 17's are low viz technically. The only VF-4 we have now is practically low viz. What sort of paint scheme are you looking for really?

To be honest the actual transformation/mechanism is pretty simple/straightforward if you really look at it. The problem is that,by the anime design, it's propped up at two very small spots. I'm just curious how they'll hold up. Dunno how many wil even bother with modes other than Fighter for this one so it might only be me and one other guy who are ever bothered by this.

There's actually a few spots I'm concerned about loosening. In addition to where the hips attach to the... well, crotch I guess, there's also the bottom part of the thigh that attaches to the lower half of the leg and has to flip up/down between Fighter and Gerwalk/Battroid. That piece is painted diecast from the looks of it. I'm wondering if it's somehow ratcheted or if it's just friction. Those two pieces keep the ENTIRE bulky upper body stable and are very important. I'm also wondering how the legs will turn in and outward. Will that flip-up piece also be able to swivel or will all motion be handled at the hip joints?

I was looking back at the photos again and those thighs on ball joints are pretty much going to have to be completely rotated around between fighter and the other modes. I hope they don't become loose too easily. They're pretty much what's propping up all of that giant upper body.

Kind of interesting that the VE and the 1D both got parts that color match their valks but the Super/Strike set is coming with a dark grey variety when in reality ALL of the DYRL Valks have the same sort of white/grey tone and could be easily color matched as well.
