I wouldn't call it wonky, but it is different and that's partly why I like it. Whenever my 19F arrives I'll test it out and see if it's any better or not.

But that's the problem with the design, if you have to dick with screws and joints to pose it then you've done something wrong. I'm not even looking for anything extreme. I just want the legs to be able to tuck under it far enough that it will stand with the body completely horizontal. The fact the thigh only clicks three times plus the ankles don't angle back means it's tenuously balanced forward on it's toes. I sound like a repeat of last year when I first got this... I'm just reminded, since I hadn't touched that mode, that Yamato's "home run" is still actually pretty crap.

Damn, in anticipation of my 19F I transformed my 19S again just to put it in a different configuration and make space. I forgot just how shitty the Gerwalk mode is on this thing. Please tell me the ankles don't suck as bad this time.

I'll nit-pick the stickers once I'm done nit-picking the United States Postal Service.

I think it looks more like a cherry on a cupcake than a clown nose. It's not a great design choice but I wouldn't say I'm upset. More disappointed they didn't make a few slight design alternations to the slope of the head.

That's a difference of millimeters. That's hardly what I was referring to.

It's showing the cannons folding but that's not what I'm referring to. Look how high the packs stick up over the shoulders in the line-art.

Actually that's standard for NY. As they sell through their items they'll raise the price. They did this with the VF-171 as well. If you ordered sooner you got it for less.

Those pics really help the fast packs look better then some of the old stock footage. However I think Yamato should have made a few changes or made the packs a little more dynamic. The leg packs should fold up in fighter so that there isn't that weird scoop coming down off the wing (not necessarily easy/feasible), and the shoulder packs should extend upward in Battroid so that they're not so obscured behind it. I know line-art accuracy is tough but they should stick out over the shoulders more then they do. They still look good and I can't wait for mine but I feel like they went the easy route with these a little bit.

I wonder what the process is then? Sounds like we all ordered from AmiAmi and had them leave the same day. Except this time mine has hung out in customs until last night at 10 whereas everybody else already got theirs. I've noticed before other people have had to wait a REALLY long time, it was just me this time. It is odd considering it's the same shipment on the same day arriving at the same location but one of them gets left on a shelf for an extra five days.

How long did shipping take for you guys (assuming you're in the US?) My 19F has been sitting in customs since September 1st. There haven't been any updates since. I wish it were shipped Fed Ex, at least I'd get updates. EMS (which becomes USPS when it hits the US) is crap for updates. For all I know it's in my city but they haven't got around to updating the website yet. Either that or I got lucky and they'll hold on to the box at customs for an extra week.

I miss the rainbow canopies on all of them to be honest.

Yeah, they built it into the story. Semi-plausible... fiction gets to have that sort of fun I guess. I've always assumed that pretty much the entirety of the planet was wiped out in SW1 though. Finding old tech was never something I'd considered.

They're flying one with an 11? How many of these survived Space War 1? They're playing fast and loose with this prototype idea huh? (I suppose Zero did as well really considering test craft aren't usually also flown in combat.)

Mine is in customs too but Monday is a Holiday and NM postal service is... poop. So I'd imagine Thursday is more likely for me after the holiday tomorrow.

I'm still waiting on mine too. I'm surprised Graham hasn't posted every pic possible by now since he loves his 19's almost as much as his 17's.

The shoulder's haven't been problematic for three years now. The original VE-1 never had that issue either.

Wow, it broke? I've had enough problems with the pins that if I transform the toy to/from Battroid I completely remove the wings/pins first so they're out of the way.

And yet it's not released outside of Japan. If it was unenforceable and Bandai would absolutely win a legal battle why aren't they releasing Frontier world-wide then?

Harmony Gold owns the Macross license to the rest of the world. There was no "world wide" audience. Macross can only be shown/marketed in Japan.
