What's wrong with Klingon's? They're a big part of Trek. -
Yes. You really only have two stances. Lower leg bent forward with nose rammed into the ground or the legs set back behind the body (which looks stupid) balanced on the tips of the toes facing straight. You really can't get anything stable in between. You can splay the legs really wide in order to get the body lower but it really doesn't do much. If the ankles folded back farther then you could fold both the calves forward and have it look like it was crouching, you could adjust the legs to be forward/back and splayed and have various angles of stepping/motion. Instead you get two tenuous poses, one that looks okay (nose in ground) and one that looks completely stupid (sitting flat.) The arm articulation doesn't work particularly great with the Gerwalk setup either. I wish there was a way I could personally tell Yamato as a massive Gerwalk fan that their setup for the 19 sucks. The 19S is pretty cool looking in Battroid but overall I think the F looks better all around in every mode. I always thought the S line-art looked kinda off personally though.

Are you referring to the Gerwalk on the 19 in general or more specifically that it's a shitty implementation on this toy?

Well they give you a bunch of 101 stickers on the 19S and a collection of 101 through 105 stickers on the 19F so assume Docker is 101 and go from there unless you REALLY feel like chopping up every single sticker on your sheet to recreate a 100 for everything.

I think a lot of us were introduced to them via the VF-171. And we were all impressed how quickly/easily they pulled it off. I'm waiting on my VF-25G, 171 Armor Parts and a VF-4 from them still and if/when Bandai gets around to a RVF-25 or 171 I'm sure they will be my shop as well.

The lens flare was fine. It was the stupid circumstances getting to and then on the ice planet when Kirk conveniently met Scotty and Spock and the Star Wars-like CGI creature chase just before that I have a much bigger issue with. -

There's two things about this. 1) They need the license for FB2012 which we don't know they have yet. 2) This very well could be some sort of gauge of interest for a VF-4 like they did with the 1/2000 SDF-1. My theory is that they already had the VF-X license or could get for MUCH cheaper than FB2012 and since it's a relatively newer product they assumed people might remember it more since it did have more exposure than Hikaru's five second appearance in a twenty minute music video from twenty five years ago. If it sells well enough they know the VF-4 is popular and they can go ahead and buy the FB2012 license and pop out toys with new paint schemes quickly enough plus they've got other VF-X paint schemes to fall back on. If it sells okay but not great they might be able to maximize the VF-X investment and milk the mold a little bit with other VF-X pain schemes and skip buying a new license for FB2012.

Man, even with a precise blade and as much patience as I can muster I only kinda sorta get lucky with cutting those No Step decals correct. But I've never been able to get them to adhere after cutting them that small either.

So I finally attempted to sticker my F last night. I have avoided stickering anything dark because I don't like the way the edges of the stickers look. I noticed ever since I put those little no step stickers on Gamlin's 22 how awful it looks. I finally got an Xacto knife and a pair of straight and curved scissors to carefully cut that stuff. I've found that the Emerald Force Logo and all of the little Red warning arrows/etc... look just fine. I still can't cut those tiny little No Step stickers down though. Anybody know of a better way to trim something so small? Hell, even the "102" stickers and the UN Spacy stickers look like crap even after trimming the big borders. I tried to individually trim the white 102 so there isn't that blob of sticker between each number but it still doesn't look great. I noticed some of you guys always seem to have really clean looking decals but I'm not sure if with clear coats/etc... if it obfuscates some of the issues I've described.

The wings will rotate horizontally as will the hips. It's possible they aren't lining up because one (or both) of them is rotated a little bit. I'm going to re-iterate that the ankles suck and Gerwalk fans got effed on this design. Fix the ankles. They need to rotate back a lot farther.

So my F finally showed up today. Real quick impressions after pulling it out. It's not assembled as well as my S was. Things weren't aligned properly out of the box and I had to adjust it myself. Also the back tip of the right wing root is bent with a white stress mark... not happy about paying $300 for that at all. The left wing root doesn't line up with the folded down tail fin just like on the S and the right side doesn't like up as well (but with the bend in it already that doesn't affect me at all anyway.) The Gun pod is harder to get to sit straight too. That doesn't bode well for this new, fancy plant working on these things but I may be an outlier. So... not a good first impression right out of the box at all. Not like the nice, tight S I got last year. I'll have to transform it but right now I have very low expectations for these problematic ankles. That being said in fighter mode the white stripes and single head cannon look SO much better then the S. I'll have to play with it more. Hopefully there aren't any other defects besides the bent wing root.
