Yup, AmiAmi says they're all late December too. Bummer. The 17D with fast packs was a birthday present to myself too.

It seems like they would cannibalize their own sales if they had the one with and without fast packs at the same time. They don't usually release their toys with and without accessories at the same time.

I need cases for mine. They get so dusty so fast, especially here in New Mexico.

That looks bad-ass.

It's less about whether it's actually "factual" and more about the fact that it doesn't make any sense.

Whew, finally showed up yesterday. I found it interesting in the back of the book they have that rough lineage of Valks. The VF-0->VF-1->VF-3000->VF-5000->VF-11 makes sense. But the Branch that has the VF-4->VF-9->VF-17 doesn't make nearly as much. It's nice to see some VF-3000 images and more of the VF-11. The VF-0 itself looks great in these "real world" shots. It would be great to see a VF-11 and VF-17 book as I think those two would also lend themselves well to "real world" looking photos.

Well the posted images aren't working but it's cool to see how some of this is done.

Love the scheme. In our discussion on repainting the VF-4 in 4G toy thread I'd do a butter paint job on a Milia version then what was done in M3 and this is pretty close to what I had envisioned. There would have been some white stripes on the legs but otherwise it's pretty close.

I hope you're right about him being easier to get. Personally I don't give a crap who "piloted" the fighter. It's green and has a radome and I think that looks good. So I'm buying one.

Because the toys don't always (IMO NEVER) look good shiny versus matte.

Man, I'm going to have to keep drooling over these pics you guys have posted. My book shipped the 26th and it's still not here yet. I may have to contact HLJ pretty soon.

Other than the design being kind of kludgey (and that's Kawamori's fault) I honestly don't believe this will be THAT complicated to transform when it's all said and done. My money is it will actually be easier than some.

I could probably get painfully anal and site, as Yamato have, that this isn't the FB2012 scheme. You'd have to show me a super shiny VF-4 from Digital Mission VF-X to be valid.

I agree. I don't see this plane being shiny. Is there anything that would indicate otherwise somewhere?

It's actually going to be more grey, which should be easier still. However I don't feel the white here really brings out any detail, which the VF-4 sorely lacks in many instances already.

It's too bad it's not painted. I don't feel like the white sells it.

My 25G finally showed up today. While I don't have completely floppy arms like Macross Junkie, they are severely loose compared to my Alto and Ozma and I can't hold the gun up. Luckily I'd always planned to pose it in prone but it still sucks this go around the QC is so much worse. I also noticed the crotch plate hardly holds in place. Posing in battroid while standing upright is extremely FRUSTRATING with this thing. It constantly collapses. And the right side front landinger gear bay door is does not align right at all. It cannot close straight. Also, Alto and Ozma had slightly curved wings but at least they were symmetric. This one only has one curved wing and it makes it lopsided.

I'm pretty sure that in the last update/interview on Yamato's website they said they were proud how balanced the toy was. The stand seems to indicate otherwise but there could be other reasons why they've decided to go that direction.

One in each mode? Or one plain, one with supposed Super Packs and one with supposed Tornado Packs?
