It's the same darker gray color like all of the internal mechanisms and the hands/feet/etc... are. I'll take a picture when I get home.

I'll bet that hole up in the front for the gunpod to plug into doubles as the spot to plug in the fin. At the very least to transform it you'll have to pull that fin out, swing things around, then plug it back in. It's probably just that plug on a swivel.

I wonder how many of us with more than one VF-4 got a crummy second one? I just had the chance to partially transform my second one last night. The left foot was jammed inside the leg TIGHT. I had to pull pretty hard to get it out and when I did a long thin piece of plastic came with it. The leg still functions, and it's still tight as all get out, but that strip of plastic that came with it makes me nervous.

It's a tough call. I think the S's head looks way more bad-ass but I'm not a fan of yellow so I like the look of the stripes on the D a lot more. If you're thinking unique head the S sure does look like a brute in Battroid though.

Wow Junkie, that almost makes me like the DYRL version better than the SDFM version. It must have been nuts getting it to look that good but now you can live in comfort knowing you've pretty much got the definitive 1/3000 SDF-1 on the planet. -
Which blue strips are you referring to?

I'd take one of those green VF-17's and a maintenance VF-1 if Yamato made them. They will have to get creative with that welders mask chest plate though, i.e. part-swapping likely.

I doubt the transformation would have to change one bit in order for the RVF to transform.

Yeah but people want to have their cake and eat it too. They want it available at the cheapest place possible. NY is considered evil now because they inflate the price. I always buy from them now, at least I'm guaranteed.

Maybe he doesn't like the idea of the Megaroad? Or he's a bigger fan of the SDF-1? He can make his Skull Squadron based out of wherever he wants, it's his fantasy toy.

Wow, I can't believe how similar you stickered this thing to what I was planning to do with mine. There's a few variations, things I like about yours I hadn't considered, but it's shockingly close in most respects. I'm not brave enough to weather mine but if I were to do panel-lining it would be exactly as you have it here, nice and subtle. Let's see the other modes too!

I never asked for it. I thought it was a stupid idea to begin with and am now vindicated, also highly inconvenienced. To be honest, in fighter mode there's really only two missiles that might give you trouble though, the forward fuselage one's. They should have been clip-on instead of those tiny, useless pegs.

Good. Glad to hear it wasn't actually a defect. I still have issues adjusting the head because of the tightness. And that damn 17D barely wants to move at all still.

Wow, three! Nice haul. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to sticker mine. The rear fins seem a tad sparse but i don't really care for adding the black stickers with the blue high light already there. Having more options besides just the Skull and cross bones would be been nice. Keep Crean is getting put somewhere just for a laugh too.

How long has it been? They can take awhile to respond. However, if you have a contact in Japan who can help you out that's great.
